Went down to Salt Lake this afternoon and spoke with one of their recuriters. Didn't sign anything, didn't agree to anything. If I decide to do it, all I have to do is show up on Monday, 1/29. Their school costs $3K. You pay it back at $100/mo and the company poneys up $150/mo. No interest and it's paid off in 12 months. There's worse deals. All in all, so far I'm favorably impressed with their operation. Time will tell but they seem to make the effort to retain people that they have trained at considerable expense. They don't make extravagant promises, just that you can make good money if you can do the job.

All I can tell you is this, if you hire on with CRS, that'll probably be 1 of the biggest if not the biggest mistake you'll ever make in your trucking life. They are not located down the street from CR England for nothing.

Yeah get six months or 2 years experience with them and move on.

Or become a trainer. Better yet become a O/O and a trainer.

Keep an eye on all your settlement sheets, don't be afraid to argue with them, be prepared to fight for your money, and be ready to fight OTRM to get anything fixed.

That's all I have to say.

Motorcycle Central Refrigerated Miles

Hello to all my future peers!
I'm scheduled to start training at Central on February 9th. The recruiter tells me that their drivers are getting between 2500 and 3300 miles per week. I'd like to know what the real story is. I appreciate any help you can give me on this topic.

Freight is slow right now! I think the number would be closer to 1500-2300 a week.

When things get moving again in march April you might see your 3000-3300.

Centrals main problem is short trips with to much time (1500 miles and five days to run it) Load planners have not gotten used to planning loads with the new Paperless logs.

We are L/O so obviously they try gives us more miles so that we can pay our truck payment JJ has been getting 2200 since he went back to work after Christmas, the week before Christmas he had 3400.

BUT Freight is really slow right now.
