Central Ref. Drug Test Hi, I want to get into trucking and i stopped smoking weed 8 months ago when I had a kid. As far as I know, I will pass a piss test with no problem but I've heard that it stays in your hair forever. Can someone tell me if Central Ref. does a hair test.

| Hair strand test rarely go back more than 6 months. Determined by hair strand length. As tight as these companies are getting with their wallets. I would find it highly unusual that anyone strand test anymore. As if many of them ever did.

As a management person in a company which shall remain nameless told me, if we did the hair test we'd have to fire half of our drivers. Take it how you will.

The strand test is still utilized but usually in law enforcement applicants. It is an expensive test. THC stays in the fatty tissues of the body for a long time. Of course it kills brains cells which can never grow back.

I don't think any of them do a hair test. That's pretty expensive and I believe there are certain legal avenues they have to take to do a hair test.
