They don't care - its about shifting boxes, not much else.

I know - been there. I'd always take load times with a grain of salt, be ready - but also ready to wait.

Clean your cab, make your bed, empty the trash, check the oil, pretrip, go for a walk, plan your route, call a buddy and vent, then take a good old nap.

But, and I'll say this only once, this is the reason I work where I do now - I figured this out pretty early on.

Just a passing thought wondering if MLK Day holiday (Mon, Jan 20th) had anything to do with it?

They might be waiting on product or sitting and spinning on their thumbs... Matters not to the driver, because the driver is still having to wait... I feel for you!

Our load from <___> story... Got a meat load heading to Fry's/Kroger in Tollison, AZ. This load was to aim us home because my MIL just broke her hip!! We get there 5 hrs before our appt time... We waited for 21 hours PAST our appt time!! 26 total hours on the property!! Only got 8 hrs of detention (which we are STILL ticked about!). Klingon called the customer and was blatantly told that the inbound load trailers are used as additional cold storage when they don't have room to unload. It was a general practice!! Needless to say we put them on our will not go to list! Not that THAT did us any good... One of the many reasons we left that dedicated fleet/DM.

But but but you can haul dry van flatbed and refrigerated goods in a reefer. It HAS to be the best.:biggrin_25526:

I wonder how this one is eventually going to turn out. I could give some suggestions on how to speed things up. But I do believe most would find it offensive. Lol

Yea as a matter of fact I do lol. Problem is most places want independents instead of company drivers . Livestocknetwork.com is a good place to look and see what's available. Never hurts to call even if you're not exactly what they're looking for.

You dont get to sit around cow hauling, but there are times youll have a line and wait a few hours. Be ready to run your ### off lol. I remember reading an add a few months ago that literally said "WANTED driver that will run their ### off!" I couldn't help but laugh when I read it sounds like every other cow hauling company but that guy was willing to admit it lol.
