I know the feeling and there are places that will take you as a company driver out there. And some train which is always nice. Truth be told sometimes I wish I was a company driver usually a company driver gets screwed before an O/O its opposite in cow hauling.

Its crooked in cow hauling. I can't speak for owning your own trailer and truck or a company driver but I heard stories about the guy I was working for. I never really believed them he treated me right...so I though. I'm still livid over my trip from hell. 23+ hours waiting on a load ain't too bad. Last load I pulled for that guy put me in the red...way in the red.

685 mile deadhead to pick up an 800 mile load, had 1 heifer die on me, pissed the rancher off, 48 hours AFTER I unloaded I get told I'm being charged for being 2 steers short on top of the heifer coming out of my check. 3 people counted my head on including myself, they don't disapper on the trailer. Had 1 load that week was ready to go Monday didn't leave till Thursday night.

Yea there's always guys that get mad at people and complain, kinda have to pick and choose what to believe and what not to believe. Well I shoudlve listened and never shouldve went back. Not all companies are that way, but I'm not the only one that has had this crap pulled on them before.

I've heard some horror stories stuff you'd never think was possible unless you stop and think how screwed up the world really is, but they're not enough to pull me away from cow hauling, even this theasco isn't enough to get me to throw in the towel. There's better people to work for the that need a driver and a truck.

You're going to deal with ######## anywhere you go in this industry, you're going to have slow times, and times when you're frustrated, because they're running you into the ground. Just part of driving a truck. I know with the miles I was running I wasn't making any more than any freight hauler in reality. I know my fuel bill at the end of the week would make the CEO at any big company #### a golden Twinkie if even 1 of his trucks burned that much fuel. That's how it goes though.

Load it like a freight car drive it like a racecar, rubber side down feedlot bound, load in the east head out west drive like hell see who's time is the best, they ain't kidding when they say there ain't no feelin like cowmobilin, there's times when you feel like your wheels ain't touching the ground, and there's times when you think them wheels won't roll. My friends back home think I'm crazy, but I love this job something about it is just right.

Then again they haven't rolled down a highway with the cruise set over what the odometer reads, and looked out the window and seen every star in the sky, never pulled into the truck stop and had the pleasure of listening to the hooves on the aluminum and the sound of mooing while they're getting fuel, never had to throw sawdust in a trailer, or had one of the old timers that used to pull cattle tell you about the way it used to be. Theres a lot that scares people off, but there's so much more that makes it worth staying.

Yea , I guess no matter what ya haul you will have problems , my only thing is I away from home and I don't just want to sit around . I want to keep moving ya know , but seems some place only want you to run so many miles a week then they cut you off ..
Oh , ill tell ya the hooves stomping around inside a aluminium trailer in the middle of the night is a awsome sound , I have stoped for fuel in the middle of the night already and there was a cattle truck next to me .
Idk maybe its something I will check into , and see .
The only bad thing . I live in PA , and never see many trucks running up that way .

Well at least my final destination turned out good , app set for 6 in the morning got here and security said there is no reason to leave now just go tuck yourself in that back lot there and no one will bother you (SCORE) cause now I don't have to start a clock to get here and get unloaded ....
Finally something worked out right , but the week ain't over yet . Hahaha

    Edit:
Oh and I am getting detention the max is I think 8 hrs or something like that , and they also told me meat loads drivers are sceduled to be there 10 hrs early to take their breaks , hmmmm how about hire drivers that know how to plan their day and they wouldn't have to do that 10 window thing ... lmfao
I had miles to get there so I planned on the split cause ot would have worked the best ...lol

I was given a 78 mile run down FL. 2 PO#s. Only one PO# was scheduled for the time and day I showed up. They would only except the one PO, which was 2 pallets. Didn't know if it was in the front of the trl or the rear.
Long story short, I had to go back the next day to get it off my trk.

The he## with being all warm and fuzzy. When it effects my pocket, I let everyone know it! I'm not rude, but I start turning the screws on everybody.
