wow. That sounds like so much fun. Do they use it on all drivers? Because I was surprised to see a window on my load destination info. It said. Del apt. 02/07 0800-2330

Hmmmm, I'd actually like to see this plus-1 in action even if its just for curiosity sake. Because if its that tough for you it's going to be even more so for us. Not saying reefers are rocket surgery or anything, but we usually need time between loads to get a washout, reefer fuel, etc. especially on meat and produce loads.

Idk , things ain't lookin to good .
In Georgia right now there are about 15 trucks that people have turned in and said their good buys , let it be what it is but I have already contacted someone else , I have been sitting here all day trying to get the hell out and , oh we don't have a trl for u to drop to pick up ur preloaded trl.
So I went inside to see what's going on , oh can u go send a message on ur qualcom and I will email the planner , and they will email this person , and that person will forward the email , and then they will call and see if u can go in bobtail... lol really , atlanta air port is not to far away ,

And yes I know I have a contract and yes it is gonna take time to figure things out and get it all sorted out .
But , I have a family and obligations to pay bills for them to have a place to live , and sitting here waiting on a empty trl for 268 miles is not gonna pay them .....

I don't want to give up , but I just can't do this week after week to have no miles and no money .its just not worth it .

You're lucky if you get the windows.

Yes, all drivers including the L/O and O/O.

The thing is, you can get around it pretty well using the Mac 9 (the macro used to accept or reject a load).

Put 'n' in the 'Do you accept the load' box, enter the times that you can pick up and deliver, and send it.
If your times are within the customers windows it will be kicked right back to you with your adjusted times.
If it is outside the customers windows the load will be taken off you.

I do that with probably 80% of the plans sent to me.

Make sure you include enough time for whatever, be it extra time to shower, do laundry, hit a Walmart, take a bit longer than a strict 10 hour break (if you like a bit more sleep, like me), any slowdowns you anticipate along the way due to rush hours, going over Cabbage or Donner, etc.

Most pre-loaded and drops have a window, while many live's are by appointment so there is less leeway.
When in doubt you can call your driver leader and simply ask for the windows. Most are pretty understanding and will give them to you.

Good info Moose thank you. Tang -- you have my sympathy man. I just talked with an L/O friend in Conley and he said exact same thing. No empties, no loads, no miles and no clue as to when he can get out.

Another problem with the Plus-1 is that the computer matches up lots of loads. Lets say that you have had a very hard week and you would like a nice relaxing weekend run, lets say 1200 miles, Friday - Monday morning and there is a load sitting on the yard that is ready to go. Well, the system can see that load and think, well we can dispatch that load late Friday or early Saturday and still make the delivery on time. Personally as a L/O, I might want that load, but in reality, I do not know that it is even there, so now it might get kicked to me on Friday late after being up all day, I will decline it, without even using Mac 9 with adjusted windows, and maybe I might with adjusted times, but then I know, now I might have to push a little more. Yes, we have some L/O that want to run hard every week, and we have some, like me, 2800 per week is just fine

Yes, it does seem to wait until the last possible second before it assigns a load.
I'll wait around for hours only to get one that has obviously been waiting much longer. A t-call load or something. And yet it is not sent until I have to run very hard if I am to make delivery on time.

    I guess Plus-1 is a JIT system.
