Central has a couple dedicated fleets that all they do is deliver to stores... We covered them a few times...

before you start to slander and insult people

    1) a recruiter is a salesman, they are tryign to sell you a job. yes they're reading off of a script, yes they're stretchign the truth but they dont lie, there are laws against that
    2) you're just commiting slander now
    3) you dont know their story, Maybe they used to drive but had to stop for some reason (money, better benifts, home more often) you don't know. A recruiter has alot of resonsibility, they have to manage all these people, they have to deal with people who aren't really intersted, they have to hunt people down, they have to fix problems that they started.

you don't know anything about sales or recruiting. you're a driver therefore you've dealt with recruiters.

First thing there motor mouth! You don't know jack crap about me.
So let fill you in a little! I have spent over 30 years being self employed. Therefore I HAVE done sales, I HAVE done recruiting.
1977 I got my first commercial license driving busses.
1983 I filed for and received my own operating authority and I started a delivery service with one flower shop and a 1956 international panel. 3 month later I started delivering packages too.
1984 I sold off the flower delivery with the 14 flower shops and kept adding packages. I added a 2 axle flatbed to haul larger tools and equipment for customers that would not fit in the 1 ton vans I had. I had two employees during this this time.
1987 I added a 1979 Freightliner 3 axle tractor and sold off the package part of the business.
1993 I closed the business and went back to school and finished my degree.
1995 I started my own Mechanical Design & Consulting business.
2001 I added prototype fabrication to the business.
2001 to 2010 I added to my businesses and ISP website design & hosting and email account hosting. (This part of the business is still active and profitable)
2010 my wife and I decided to "semi" retire and have gone back into trucking.
Which at this time we formed an LLC and still have the ISP, and a specialty logistics supply service.

So little man, don't set here with your one year experience tell me what I know and don't know and how I'm slandering people. Because you do Not know crap!
    Oh, and two more things,
First, there was only two things that the recruiter told me has come true. The rest was pure BS. 1) I'm driving a truck. 2) I could lease a truck from Central within 6 months. That's it.
Second, thanks for making my point! Right there in your #3 is my point. They are to sell something to someone that doesn't know what they want, what they can handle and get them to sign for it. Also these poor kids (most are just that, kids) are still responsible for that $3,000 (+-) for the school. JUST LIKE A USED CAR SALEMAN!

pretty much every company will strike a deal with you to get out of the $3000 debt

I know that England is free if you stick with them for 6 months. Central will only charge you $1500 if you stick with them a year. I belive Swift its all free (I heard that from a former driver) and I assume pending you fulfil whatever obligations you have with them

Schneider I know used to pay off your school, no idea if they still do

yes, there even are plenty of companies that do continue to charge you $3000 or more, its a bit scammy unless you already have a job. If you don't have any experience nobody wants you, combine that with the fact you still have to attend school again anyway (so its more of a legal scam)

From what I remember Swift gets paid back during the first year of employment, then pays you back the full amount during the second year.
So to 'get it for free' you need to stay for 2 years.

Not a bad deal for either party, IMO.

An arm, a leg, and possibly an eye.
Your choices as to which side, however.
They are kind enough to work with you in that regard.

I would imagine that you would be obligated to pay the balance if you left before 1 year.

    Lady K Thanks this.
