    Don't know about NYC..

But the DC thing is obviously not true.
If you pickup from or deliver to a Factory, that wouldn't be a DC right?

Maybe not 'the City', but we've delivered to the Bronx and Queens... Not often, but yep we did. And to DCs only? :sign5:

Who would want to deliver to just DC's, I've usually found the fewer doors the place has the quicker they get in and out. Why? Because if your on time YOU are the reason they are their. At a big DC your just one of hundred trucks.

I think what your recruiter meant is that you don't deliver to individual stores

I've never docked at a store when I worked at Central, but I can't speak for everyone, MOST of the time it was DC's, D/C-D/C or Factory-D/C,

Well, being part of Swift, you will now deliver to stores as well.
Walmart, Costco, Dollar General, Sears, Home Depot and many other individual stores are in your future.

And as Gabe said, they are many times a better experience than DC's.
Today at a Walmart DC it took me nearly an hour just to get through the gate because so many trucks were there at the same time. That kind of thing seldom happens at stores.
Some of the docks at smaller stores can be a bit tricky though.

Wouldn't mind deliveries to stores. I don't like the possibility of going to the 5 boroughs of NYC.

Nobody does ... for some of us we do it once and never again. I only have 5 places I won't go NYC, Boston, Toledo, OR, Parsons, WV and Ft. Gibson, OK

Really don't have a choice if they are forced dispatch. Right? I've done Brooklyn a few times.
