I think that's important to keep that mindset on the CPM scale as well. Decide what you want to be making per week and then make your decisions on whether you are hitting that number or not. For example my friend who works at the same company as me was telling me it's such BS that we only get 10$ for drop pay.

If your making the money you want to be making for the work you want to do then it doesn't matter how they structure the pay scale. If my goal is $1000 a week and they pay me 1cpm on 2500 miles and then give me $975 for dropping one load per week does it really matter to me?

My goal for 2014 was to average 1000 per week. Currently I'm at 1011.71 . I feel that i get screwed out of quite a bit, but for now my goals are being met and for someone with less than one year experience it's not bad.

was exactly my point just didnt put it down as well as you
i get $.42/mile but if i only get paid for 2000 miles it isnt a great job
if i get 3000 miles but drive 3200 i dont care
    basically it is a $1200 load whether it is 3000 x.40 or 3200 x .38

This HHG thing shouldnt be allowed , because after all we can't drive that route.
next time maybe ill take that route , and park this truck under a low clearance bridge like the rest of the swift drivers out there.. lol

Its no wonder , there is such a turnover in this industry especially with big companies like Swift , and so forth. They are just plain ripping us off !!!!!

you can get paid hub miles and just get a lower rate
Prime pays % so the miles are not important just the bottom line how much you get to take it from A to B

Central used to have a policy where if the paid miles in the system and the actual miles had a 10% or more difference, they would pay you actual miles by adding in a stop to get more miles. I doubt swift has anything like this, as I havent seen anything in their manual.
