Cool What? No Horror Stories On CFI???

From meeting drivers from CFI,I haven't heard of any bad things about them.I know all their trucks have FREE XM-Radio and are new KW's. Both T-2000's and T-600's(Anteaters) I know CFI has already ordered the new model
T-660 for delivery in 07.They have 13 speed manual trannies.

CFI does seem to have a good rep out there. I have spoken to 3 drivers in th past and all loved it there. Only complaint 2 of them had was that the pay scale is a little low and medical benefits not so great

KW,s with thirteen speed, sounds like a decent company to drive for, that plus no reefers, at least I haven't seen one, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Long time out

I have the opportunity to get on with CFI, but the only thing that steers me away from them is that you have to be gone for 15 days in order to get two days off. I have been there and done that and really don't want to have to do that again. I will leave that for you younger/single drivers.

been with them 6 yrs and they have pooped on us. The benefits are bad they are self insured and if anything goes wrong you will be left with major hospital debt even after paying 179 a month per person to have their so called ins. Hubby has been out solo and no miles plus he is a big man and they stuck him in a T600 so if you like to sit and have no need for medical and like being cramped go for it. Last month his pay was 1500 for the month....

Heck if I see you out there I would tell you it is a great company as well just for the referral bucks.

We are leaving as we learned our loyalty to them was not worth it at all, only prob many companies want Hubby/wife teams and which one to choose is mind boggling.

FYI you have to fight to get home and they can seem to lose how many days off you have and heaven forbid you get hurt on the job then you might as well hang up your hat. But just a bit of news they try to tell you that you have to stay in Joplin or they will not cover you but that is not true, you can go home and they have to find medical within a 100 miles of your home.

just gpt out of orientation 2 weeks ago.the benefits don't seem to be great.they can get you home you just have to highlight it on the computer.i checked their website under drivers when i checked it shows how many days you have accumulated off.as for the t-600's not a lot of room.i told my wife it looks like a tank with just as much room inside, and i am a big boy.the t-2000's are used for trainers and teams.as for miles they have been running my but into the ground.6,057 miles in 2 weeks.but the down side to that is you get paid every 2 weeks.that is hard for me to get used to.but so far i haven't looked back for quitting jb hunt.just remember there is no perfect company,or else we would all be working there.

My 2 cents..

I never worked for the company but have done my research and spoke to MANY CFI drivers. I used to be in Laredo almost weekly for a year and this allowed me the opportunity to speak with CFI drivers.

1. T600 you can't use this as a "complaint".. why? cause you know that's what they have "before" you get hired... You can't expect a company to give you a T2000 just cause you feel cramped. You knew they ran T600 before, so again this can't be a legitimate company complaint.

2. Insurance, well yes this is a complaint but to be honest majority of companies out here insurance pretty much suck...

3. Miles, complaint yes but from all the CFI drivers I spoke to said they get good miles, and are happy with what they get.
This is something I had to learn hands on, you can't take 1 month and single it out but you need to take the "year" in total. (I do my average miles every 3 months)
Reason? cause your pay is going to be directly related to demand, freight has its up and its downs therefore your pay will reflect that. This is where planning and budgeting comes in..

4. Time off, well again they do say 15 out 2 days off. not a legitimate complaint cause again its something you knew about before you came to work for them, or should of known by researching...

Not trying to pick on anybody but just trying to give an outside view.

Ex driver

I'am a ex driver for CFI a good company and can be better but like all company they have their little bad spots.Maintenance and wash bay never the less don't mean to bad mouth the company.I had a jake knife with this company because bad tires that's maintenance i had a new T6 all crome out nice... i hated the wash bay my truck may look better before it went in there.

PS: They have change,i was told before leaving give a two wks notice and if i decide to come back i would loose no seniorty but reapplyed and was told not eligible..
