CHRB is not the carrier

Chrb just lost another lawsuit, this one to the tune of 23 million dollars for representing themselves as the carrier on the bills of lading.

I personally have had this arguement with one of their agents in the past who went so far as to tell me that CHRB would be responsible for any claims should something happen to the load since they were the carrier. When i told him i would be staying at the rest area i was parked in until he produced DOT #'s for CHRB and responsibilty for the load in writing his tune really changed. He went so far as to call me on his cell phone so that the conversation wouldnt be recorded on the CHRB phone lines.
