I know, it just sucks when it happens ECU (knew it was coming when I went in). Everything was done right just the wait was hell. I did meet alot of great people, and only a couple of complainers.

Yea, and they were saying how long they had been there waiting for a load and how they don't make enough. Same thing you hear from every company at every terminal when certain people always seem to be there.

ECU, from what I have seen here and at FFE, those who complain always sound the same. There was a driver saying he never has enough time to run his loads, and how it isn't safe for a driver to have to sit the entire 11 hours trying to make up time. Now I have had 2 loads like that, but for the most part everyone I talk to has the exact opposite complaint of too much time getting a load there.

That being said on the loads I have had where I got a 34 hour restart in the process my FM has gotten me extra pay for that excess time. it isn't as good as what I would make at 60mph down the hwy for a full day, but it does pay for the food and a little extra while I am waiting. All in all I find the majority of people who want to work are getting miles, it's a little slow right now but hell we're still in an economic slump AND it's the holidays when things do slow down.

Somehow whenever I get within 200 miles of home after being hilited it suddenly doesn't show me hilited anymore. 2nd time this has happened.

That is most likely happening when you are being dispatched manually, and dispatcher is showing hilite request complete.
There is a electronic trail that your fleet manager.should be able to look at and see who is completed that request.

Finishing up a 34 hr reset while under my load in Emporia, VA…I NEEDED the break. Went from NC to Quebec and heading back to NC round trip LD w/ 5 stops total. Hoping I get sent right back to Quebec. Renewing my FAST card once I'm back near the border and only 11 more days till a week off
