I got about the same check for 14 days about a month after I left. That's what I loved about Conway they give you what they owe you the never try to short the driver and the one time my check was missing some scales and tolls I just scanned them again. (Keep copies of everything) They wakeful if need the money right away. I said just nut it on the next pay check. That happen like my first month with them in 2011

Sitting in a hotel in Ft Worth, the truck is in the shop, and I am waiting to go to Joplin to talk to safety.

At least they didn't tell you it was brake fluid and give you a PO to add some! Gotta look at the bright side on these things.

I told them I had a gash in the left front sidewall on my trailer...they said all they could authorize was a temporary patch because the trailer was loaded. I asked if he wanted his wife following me when the temporay patch blows. Then I added that I had never heard of repairing the sidewall of a tire. Ohhh you meant the tire, I thought you meant the sidewall of the trailer....yikes!!!

Student tested out...I completed a 34 and left JOPMO this morning. About 20 miles from customer in Marion, IN at Petro x245 on I 69. Had great miles the last couple weeks but student did all the driving. Felt strange doing a 600 mile day without help! Maybe I can qualify for passenger of the month!

5 plus hours waiting to unload this morning, after driving all night to get it there for 0800 appt, even though clearly marked on bills 0900 appt.
Then was dispatched to pick up next load at 1800, downtown Dallas. Sleep isn't a requirement. Got here at 1930, would you think load is ready....
Oh yeah, can only wait on yard a hour.
    Fantastic!
Hurry up and wait, then go to next pick up to sit till morning to load rest of load.
I love Texas, and all it has to offer.
    Is it June yet?

Yeah my deadhead will be about 200 miles. I don't blame con-way -- freight, and the economy, is just dead in my area (at my last company it often took 2-3 weeks to get home).

Then again, I'm telling this to the guy from Florida ;)

Thankfully I only deal with it a handful of times a year.

I'm also on my way to Joplin, hopfully I can keep my job. I had to call a wrecker on Friday when my truck slid off the road after I shut down in that storm. That makes 2 preventables this year....oops!
