Corinth, MS midway through a 34 before monday delivery... 3100 miles for the week, about 1400 in the NE

Little bit of a culture shock for this California hethen; the standard Corinthian valediction is "Have a blessed morning/afternoon/day/evening!"

To further demonstrate the piety of all within the township, its inhabitants insist on bestowing two full syllables upon the word "blessed."

Love it when things work out, dropped the load in Tulsa and instead of having to sit and wait till after midnight to pick up load in Fort Smith went ahead and headed that way after we dropped load, picked up at Rheem D/H which was done and had been done since the 21st, so we got an early start towards Lakeland,FL for our 3 stopper just hope the weather doesn't get any worse down there

Ahh. Storm plowed thru. 95 to 64 degrees in minutes. Went back up to 70 after storm passed. Back in 60's and dropping.
    All windows open. Screens in.
Currently parked between 2 no idling flat beds.
    Hopefully it stays that way.
So much better without a apu...NOT!
    But weather is nice.
Will be snowing soon. Better inspect my chains.

Decided to take 24 through Toledo out of boredom when leaving Taylor. Just to try it out.
I swear if I ever decide to be a trainer (puke) I would take my student to those 13' 6 bridges
and get my entertainment fix in.

    # low range lol this guy needs to start looking @ his atlas before moving that's two days in a row

I can only tell you what the freight driver told me. If you read any other post's, I can see why you say what you say. I work for a good company. I don't care how many companies make up Con-Way. Con-Way freight and TL have the same logo on the doors.

I will ask again why there is such a huge difference pay?

Two deliveries and a pick-up off the Ryan, JFK and Eisenhower. Delivered the pick up out in Rochelle for a grand total of 82 miles. Not complaining about the miles. IT all evens out, but fun day. Baby trucker did very well. This kid should be pretty good.

He complained that he was an OTR guy and this was all local. I reminded him that a local driver will bump 4 docks before morning coffee and he took all day. Then he decided he had it pretty easy. Reminded him that he blind sided into a tight alley to make his first stop. Just had to remind him that it should be fun! Day cab guys would have had a hard time with that in one of our trucks and he did it while in training.

    Fun Day...now gimme some miles!

Sitting in Birmingham,AL had a nice dinner of beef tips w/onions and rice with a side of brussel sprouts, it was yummy. Took some stew meat and cooked it all day on low in the crock pot, then grilled some onions and then added the meat for a lil char , love cooking on the truck !!
