Is CWTL hiring newbies with no OTR experience? I have 6.5 years delivering local and stopped driving for the last year and a half. I've live in Lauderdale and was wondering if they have a terminal in Miami? I should also mention I have 6 pts on record for Toll Violations. Thanks

I got called from Con Way Truckload today. They told me that if I were a team, I could get in to orientation now. However, going in as a single, if there are a bunch of teams, I could get bumped out and have to wait til the next one.

I would guess that having perhaps the largest middle-eastern community in the U.S., would cause the Govt. folks to look very closely at what goes into and out of the Detroit area.

This I do know you must be fingerprinted and checked out the the FBI/Homeland Security.........b4 you can obtain a CDL. I went through mine back in april 2009.
The fingerprint guy told me either you pass or you get a knock on your front door or the battering ram. I'm of Middle-eastern decent. I passed no problem.

Detroit Customs Officers were A holes long before 9/11.

The handbook was written by them.
