Con-way Truckload Driver Reaches 3-Million-Mile Mark

Quote:
Con-way Truckload announced that a 10th company driver has achieved the elite career milestone of 3 million miles of dedicated service.

George Cook of Arlington, Texas, was recognized for his accomplishment at an April 4 ceremony at the company's Joplin, Mo., headquarters.

"Reaching 3 million miles of driving is an impressive accomplishment - it's the equivalent of traveling the circumference of the Earth 120 times," said Herb Schmidt, president of Con-way Truckload. "After 3 million miles with us, George's dedication to safety and customer service speak for themselves."

Cook drove the 3 million miles between 1986 and 2009. A professional driver for 31 years, he has driven for Con-way Truckload for 23 years and typically drives a route between Dallas and El Paso, Texas.
