Covenant Hell

If you like being told by your night time dispacher that you do not need to sleep that getting a load delivered that you were not given enought time to deliver is more important than sleep, dot laws, hours of service, the safety of yourself or others on the road. Or been dispatched at 1:30 on a load that delivers at 8:00 am after coming of a full 14 hr. day and told that you will get it there no matter what. The Covenant is the place for you. If you go to work for Covenant and work in the Midwest Regional you will get treated like this at least 3 or 4 times a week by a night time dispatcher name Daniel. Stay away from Covenant the lies start day one and don't stop they just get bigger.

Sounds very familiar, Moneyless. My wife and I used to drive team for Covenant.

They treat their drivers like dirt.

We were actually told (right before we quit) that we had been recently put on a particular dispatcher's board because we were a "dependable" team that would make the dispatcher a lot of money!! (We had just been dumped onto this guy's board, we didn't like him, and we had asked to be given someone else. This was the supervisor's reply to our request.)

"Christian" company?? My ***!

Covenant Hell

I have gotten away from the pits of Hell, I went broke working there. The last month I was there I earned 3 paychecks that were less than $300.00 after taking out the money it tooked to live on the road for 5 1/2 days I earned about $200.00. For some reason I could not get an answer for I was cheated out of about 11 hrs of detention pay. It was strange how you would sent a message on the qualcomm and never get an answer when I left there was at least 10 unanswered questions that I sent and was never answered. I am so glad I am am away from there. May they all rot in hell. I hope Daniel gets a seat next to the fire.

Exclamation Covenant - Lousy!!!!

Warning! Covenant does not care about its drivers or the conditions their students have to endure. I signed on as a team with my spouse and was assigned the trainer from hell! He only cared about how many miles we could rack up so that he would have a big fat paycheck. The inside of his truck was overrun with a mountain of clutter and was filthy and living and working conditions were horrible. Training? The trainer used us as excess baggage to log miles for his own personal gain. The only thing we learned was how to fuel the truck as the trainer didn't want to do it. There was never a time for showers, eating or laundry. Just keep the truck rolling. We were not given any period of time to adjust to the irregular and long working hours. Just put on the miles. Orientation was a farce. Payroll issues abounded. Only my spouse received the pay due but I had to wait for weeks to finally collect. Then I was cheated! The company has taken a stance of not caring. They have not done one thing to correct these problems even though they are fully aware. Favoritism with Fleet Managers is alive and well. Business as usual! This is NOT the company you want to hook up with. Covenant is on the bottom of the list. Don't be fooled by them.

Bulldozer

and I hope you all learned a lesson - and do not go and sign up with yet another company of "that" calibre...

I hate hearing about stuff like this - then cringe when the complainer hops fom one lousey company to another

i.e.

"I hate schneider - so I went to crete.... crete sucked so I went to swift... they cheated me so I went to blah blah blah..."

hint:

"If they advertise for drivers in magazines - and in truckstops STAY AWAY"

Have you ever driven a truck? Just seen that you do. If you have driven for 4 years like you claim. You should know that some times you will push the 14. Time management depends on the co. Most of these co's are now enforcing the Q comm to match the log book. Kind of hard to manage time when you are nailed to a log book and places don't give a flip how long you wait to get loaded or unloaded. If you are running 6000 a week you are running team. It is a little easier to keep the truck moving when there is 2 drivers in it.
