how does the buddy training for H&W teams work ?

You both get trained together on the same truck with a trainer. Husband and Wife will be the drivers with trainer in jump seat. When truck is parked husband and wife sleep together on bottom bunk and trainer on top bunk. Both get tested out to upgrade on same day and then you go on your merry way in your own truck. Inverters you can't have anything bigger than 1000 watts on the truck. The shop will do the hardwiring.

 

At the present time I have not trained a team. There are quite a few trainers who specialize in training teams at Covenant however.

 

Training husband wife teams has changed. Now, husband drives about 9.25 hours while wife sleeps. Then wife drives 9.25 hours while husband sleeps. Trainer sleeps in jump seat until he feels comfortable with your driving skills, then he will grab some sleep time in top bunk. Truck never stops moving, and we don't run out of our 70-hour clock. But husband and wife don't ever sleep together at same time because trainer never drives the truck.

 

Dang, those companies that don't use trainers sound better every day.
