After a year of being at Landstar I see now how horribly CRE treats it's L/O's. I spent 4.5 years of my life there and was totally brainwashed most of the time. CRE double or triple dips on it's business practices while taking advantage of a desperate person new to the industry.

I remember back in 2011 when CRE increased it's rates on my settlement for permits by $55 a week. They said times where tough and we all needed to tighten our belts but if I didn't agree to the new addendum my lease would be terminated immediately. Next month in their newsletter CRE donated 1.5 million to one of the Utah universities so a library can be named after Chester R England.

Dewey120 nailed it with his/her "totally brainwashed" comment about CRE. Over the 10-months I drove for them, that's exactly what it felt like they were doing... and it all began on Day 1 at their school over in Portage, IN. With a little luck, the new lawsuit against them will cost them several million dollars and might even teach them a lesson... remember, Don't drink the CRE kool-aid!

This was the same when I was a trainer at Central. I hopped out because the kids were feel young and I was out 6-8 weeks at a time.
I'm looking at getting back at training and CRE will let me sign on as a company trainer and have a $1200/wk guarantee with $1500 average. Not too bad and I will be looking at 4 weeks out not twice that.

$1200 - $1500 week running teams since CRE Trainers actually run like teams and not true trainers. Don't get me wrong there are some good trainers but most are there to get paid like team drivers and could careless about training a newbie...
