    Questions about Richmond, In. school

I understand that Richmond is a newer training campus. What is it like? Is the hotel decent? What kind of personalities do the trainers have? Do they talk lease on day 1? Just curious..
    Thanks!

when you punch it into google maps it doesn't look like the other schools

I also noticed that they moved to a better place in Laredo.

If you've read my older posts on my FB page, I tried to describe how things were here. But, if you missed it, here is my opinion.

The school is good. But, this is from a refresher stand point. We did have to sit in a class with some newbies because the classroom we were in was being used by the next refresher class, and a couple of the instructors for the newbies could use some training in people skills, but I think they might have been getting tired of some other students not taking things seriously. There were a few that didn't do the homework and were treating this like high school, not a job "interview."

The motel situation could be better. Much better. When I first got here, I was staying in a Comfort Inn one exit from the school, along with most of my class. It was pretty decent. But after a few days we all got moved to the Econo Lodge. It's at the OH/IN border and in sad shape. No fridge or microwave in the room, but hopefully the recruiters are getting that memo and not unknowingly lying to new students.

And the lease is talked about for about 45 minutes on day 2 or 3 for the refreshers, just explaining how it all works. But no one tries to "force" you to do it. They are only stating the "perks" of the lease. Like no forced dispatch, priority dispatch on the better loads, better chance of getting out of dead areas like Florida during certain times of the year, etc.

    You are welcome!

Facebook is just easier for me to post on than a bunch of forums. I'm a little lazy like that lol. I just keep the link in my signature.

I am a class A CDL driver and considering going to CR England's Refresher in Indiana.
Can someone tell me if we are allowed to practice 'alley docking'
at the refresher (backing into an enclosed dock or bay)?

    Thanks. Tommy Goldberg
