Stopsign Got Screwed By C.R. England?

C.R. England pretty much ruined my chances of ever driving a truck again... here's what happened. i went to orientation and training for england on 11/08in Mira Loma . Graduated, got my license, got sent out with my trainer, everything was goin great! until i went home for christmas, after christmas hometime i called my DM to let him know i was ready to get back into a new truck, new trainer... blah blah... only to be told i had been FIRED over my christmas break.. after a bit of yelling and screaming, turns out it was an error on thier part some sort of mistake..

Now, Re-instated, got a new trainer, truck... blah blah.... i was coming up on the end of my training and getting close to the time for me to test out into my own truck.. this was right before they forced everyone to drive teams and lease.. i got a message on the quallcom saying i needed to come into the SLC terminal and that i was on a stop dispatch... uh oh... what now?? what happened?

pulled into SLC terminal and was told i needed to see the Logs supervisor, great... so i went to go see him and he explained to me that i had ten log sheets that were missing and that they needed to be turned in immediately or i would be fired.. so, went back to the truck, pulled out my carbon copies and saw that two of the ten log sheets were missing?? how can that be?.. i gave my logs to my trainer as per i was TOLD to do during orientation and training. how can the two carbon copies be missing?? i had every single copy of every log sheet I've ever done in my folder... now i had to go and tell the Logs Dept that i could not find the two that were missing.. he said fine, i'll give you 24 hours to find them. well, i found them after tearing the truck apart and brought them to him at 2 pm the next day only to be told that i was to late and that they had made the decision to fire me that morning. now when i was at orientation and training in mira loma, i was told and this was written in the contract i signed , that if a student was having trouble with his logs, he was to be retrained, well that never happened to me obviously, they didn't want to bother retraining me because they were to busy switching to e-logs... i guess they couldn't give a rats ### about someones welfare..

After the bus ride home, which they charged to me of course and all that they had taken out of my check, my final check from C.R. England was $1.47... ONE DOLLAR AND FORTY SEVEN CENTS!!!!!!! that's not the worst part.. i became homeless after i left c.r. england because i didn't have a penny to my name, i tried and tried and tried the best i could, being in my situation to get another job driving for another company, but... as it turns out, england put on my DAC report that i was in an accident, and that i had a failure of service, a no show... both of wich were completely untrue, i pride myself on being a safe and professional driver and i do everything i can to maintain the integrity of my license and my way of life.. , so now c.r. england made it impossible for me to ever get a job driving truck ever again... not quite.. after about 6 months of back and fourth phone tag and arguments with the safety dept, i got My DAC Cleared up.. victory for me!

now after about 2 1/2 years... i have finally gotten my life together and am seeking employment as a driver..., but guess what?? there's no way any respectable company is going to hire someone that has been fired froma trucking job is there??? no there's not.. so thank you c.r england for ruining my dream of being a truck driver...

having said all this, and looking back on my situation, i realize that i had a part in this too.. it wasnt all England's Fault, but how can you expect someone who was brand new to the trucking world to know all the tricks and all the ways you need to cover your butt so you don't get in trouble?? i learned a valuable lesson from England... it's just too bad i will never be able to put that lesson to good use..

sorry to here about it. you will more then likely need to take a refresher course. some of the bigger companies ( swift,werner,prime...) might offer one or you can try your local cdl training school.

Have you called swift personally and explained it to them. Just cause you get fired does not mean you are no longer employable

    crazy
maybe you can fight the DAC reporting and talk to a company
pretty serious if they say you had an accident and you didn't

Swift will hire you. We had 2 people fired form CRE at orientation.

The question is who hires people fired from swift.

Maybe just a suggestion... Don't give big detailed explanation, just say it didn't work out, it was just not a good match so you parted company.
