Folks, this is exactly what i told Joseph 1135 in his rant and his buddy joeyjunk! Drivers are being rip off with the intention that one day they will own that truck and they will do whatever the company tells them in order to comply! I only know i driver that made it on a lease purchase with CR England and he went through hell. He kept a Freightliner Classic XL AND took his truck to mercer. Folks, DO NOT GET INVOLVE WITH THESE LEASE PURCHASE! Drive for a company and save for a down payment, then go with a financial institution with experience on your side as a company driver. Buy your tractor and pay once a month! not once a week! or you will end like this driver working two month and no paycheck. I dont know how companies can get away with these activities in this country?

I talked with Bud a couple of times about getting a raise and he suggested I lease another truck. So that's why I am heading to Landstar now.

What exactly do they require because until I can either find another driving job or something it seems I will be stuck in Indiana.

Have you talked with any other England drivers to see if they have a load near Texas?

They sound like the first factory I worked for out of HS where we were on production. One guy asked for a raise. The plant manager asked him if he was on production and when he answered yes, the plant manager told him to give himself a raise and work harder.

if you started working for them in july 2011 then you don't have 2 full years driving experience.
very few companys will hire you with less than 2 FULL yrs under your belt. if you want to stay a driver, then get on with a company that will take you with less than 2 yrs and stick with them for 6 to 9 months, THEN you will have 2 full yrs.
i started with england the same time as you, july 2011, in dallas, and told them there was NO WAY IN HELL i would lease a truck. got hired on to their smithfield account, and just recently got fired for too many "incidents" in the past year.....i hit two yellow poles, only this last one did any damage, and was told i had too many "points" on my safety record. mow i am finding it hard to get on with another company, but i am hopeful.....
    good luck

I worked for CR England for 5 month before I Quit. I fought about pay all the time with this company.I heard a lot of people say not to lease from them and dont be a trainer. so I didnt!!! They never posted anything on me like abandonment but since I only worked for them for 5 months they did send me a bill for the $3000 for the CDL training, but thats cool with me. they might get it one day!!! It probably would cost you more for the attorney than its worth..I would just let it go, GOD knows the real truth.
