I started working for them in July of 2011. I signed a lease *yes I know now that it was not a smart move* and immediately it started having problems. It was a brand new truck, and it spent more time in the shop then it did on the road due to what at the time was mysterious issues. After several thousand dollars and weeks of in shop time they finally figured out that it was the mobile eye that they were placing in the truck. It only got worse. I agreed to take students and with them it was horrible. They had accidents, cussed me out for not passing them and the like. Meanwhile I had loads that went unpaid. One specifically due to having the 5th wheel fixed because cre locked it to far forward making it illegal to run in Indiana. On that I had to have a load reworked several several times and was asked how much me and my student weighed by my dm. I tried to quit but was told that if I did I would have a abandonment on my record. Now it has been 2mths since I seen a check. I asked about it and refused to drive illegal and make false statements that my dm asked me to and all the sudden there are accidents reported and I have been stranded in Indiana and I live in Texas.... I would love to sue them but I have no idea even where to begin on somthing this monumental.

Have you tried looking for another driving job yet? Suing England won't amount to much. CRE is still dragging its feet in a class action lawsuit it loss started over ten years ago.

I would just cut my losses and find another driving job.

Ya I even told them that I had recordings of them asking me to make a fake weather report to a shipper to cover the fact that the load was running late do to the dm actions. He sent a message to the truck asking what was going on after I told him that the load was not ready on time and we had to scale. I then I was asked to report weather on the next message. I asked what do you mean cause the weather was clear and good. Then he said call me. I did that and yes I recorded the call to be told that they could not take a late load and that it would be excusable for england if the weather was a delay. Then he said for me to report the winds were slowing me down when I was going through Wyoming IMG_0152.jpg .

I am looking but without any money, no way home etc and what the dm said that he was going to report to my dac it may be hard to since I soon see myself having to fight them to clean it up.

I was constantly told that it would be corrected and on the next check, when I did try and turn in the truck in SLC UT I was told that I would have to sighn a paper stating that I knew that turning in the truck would result in a truck abandonment on my record. I refused to sigh and was guaranteed that the pay would be fixed. By that time I saw any credits it was enough to try and cover the negative I was getting for having a student on the truck. I spoke to horizon who handles their lease and was told that it would no longer count against me but I had to take the truck into slc. Where I was never sent. Then I get let go and a call stating that my pay has been corrected and should pay on my final statement but it may take up to 45 days and if they deem any repairs to the truck need to be made that it will go to that.

Sounds pretty bad then. I guess you have to start asking other truckers if they are headed near your home. Do you have anything to sell like CB, chains, or other equipment? Are you near the Burns Harbor yard?

Typical CRE crap. There are 100s of stories just like this all over the place. Sorry for your problems - I spent 3 months with them, never saw home, lots of small checks - I cut my losses real quick and moved on!
