We are at Transam now. England never had the truck we wanted to lease (auto) so we went with a company that only has that kind.
Now we are saving our pennies to buy an older truck and run with landstar.:)

    Dewey120 Thanks this.

I did the England driving school out of Mira Loma, CA back in 2008 if anyone has any questions. Also I completed a lease with them but I would never do that again!

thank u all...bottom line it gets the experience necessary to move forward and be strong and say no to the lease option. keep expectations low and don't be hard up for cash when u start training, does this about sum it up?

    Current training is as follows:

Week 1: Arrive late Saturday or Sunday. Physical and preparation for permit tests. You'll take the tests Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Pass on any of these days and you'll be on the "Backing Range" Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Week 2: You'll learn how to drive the truck Monday through Friday. On Thursday or Friday you'll be evaluated by your Road Instructor. Saturday and Sunday you'll be in class for actual employment orientation.

CDL Test: Typically a student will take this the third Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Some get to take the test the second Friday. This means it's 2 - 2 1/2 weeks from arrival to CDL in-hand if you don't get rolled back due to failing the permit tests or needing more backing or road work.

Now you'll be hired in and receive $25 a day while you wait between a day to a week or more for a Phase 1 Trainer to be assigned to you. You'll spend 20,000 miles on the truck and be paid $61 a day.

See my post on why you should avoid CR England like the plague.

Here is a blog from my training at CR England back in 2006. I stayed there for about 2 months after my training was complete. I did lease for those two months, but I never saw my house. That was it for me and I was off to Roehl and a much better driving experience!
