It just appears that all training companies are the same . You could put themall in a hat and pull one out and if the name wasn't on the paper you would never know thw difference. None of them pay newbies that well for being gone so long from home, none of them will give you the miles they promise untill ypu prove yourself, and get lucky and get a good FM. Most of them have crappy lease programs that they want to sucker a newbie into. I have a friend that bit the bullet worked for CRE for a year and some months, and now he hauls fuel and makes some very good money. He knew that if he stuck it out for a year it would get better and it did.He use to listen to other newbies from other companies and they all complained about the same things. Money, home time, and not enough miles. So what does make CRE different than the other mega training companies?

England has a way of getting the drivers to lease by telling them their are no company trks available for weeks and or months. Then the students have an outstanding school bill to pay so they lease.Don't think most training companies aggressively talk you into leasing like england does.Miles and the pay, they both suck no matter how long you're with a training/starter company as long as you're in the OTR division.Far as hometime goes, you better have thinck skin and plan on staying out a month at least or stay home and find an hourly position.OTR would'nt be considered OTR if the company gets you home every weekend or even bi weekly now would it?

Basically transparency and oversight are lacking in a company like England in ways other training companies are not.

England is a private company, not publicly traded, so they don't have the same level of disclosure or financial scrutiny as many others.

Due to this private nature other family members have been put in charge of a plethora of groups designed to take your money, such as GB lease which sells cars thru paycheck deduction or Horizon which does the same for tractors or Merge financial which makes a profit from benefit in a way i dont understand.

Masquerading other England family companies as third party entities is something that seems fairly unique to the way England tries to con thier employees

We like to call them the Mormon Mafia lol, rumor had it they are going to start selling mortgages with the same paycheck deduction scheme gb lease uses for cars...

For those unfamiliar you dont need a down payment or credit just six months service, they deduct the down payment in parts equal to the monthly amount before you take possession of the car, but here is where it gets shady:

It is technically a lease, at the end you own it outright, but if you decide to leave England says you have to give it back or pay the balance off in 30 days whatever equity you have is forfeit and belongs to them. It is a way of trying to make it very inconvenient for employees to leave, if they apply this to houses god help those poor lease ops chasing the American dream.
