watch your back
everything isn't always as it appears on here
mostly it is the guys on here that don't make it
there are drivers for CRE that are happy
others put in their time get experience and move on
unfortunately paid training to get your CDL is fraught with problemsSkunk_Truck_2590 and truckon Thank this. -
Cinch up the rope to the saddle horn and ride on Cowboy! You will make it, Do't make it all like you read it, Hang in there and he will make it, The greasy wheel gets the grease and everything that comes with it!

Go company only, stay away from the lease fleece program. Hopefully you are not in dire straights yet so that he has to lease. Put his time in and get out asap, it may take a year. Save as much money as you can for when the slowdowns come seasonally also.
-
Your husband should fulfill his commitment & then re-evaluate his situation to decide when or if he should make a move.

All the "starter" companies are the same. CRE is no better or worse than the rest of them.

I did one year as a company driver and then gave them my two weeks, but do not lease from them and like the others on this Are saying watch your back big time, it make them mad to lose drivers so thy will try and set him up to look bad on his doc report, and be sure to park there truck in there yard when he go's to leave them like I did.

Oh and FYI when working for them he needs to get a truck stop fridge on his truck and stock it with food from home an wal-mart y'all will save a lot of money that way. And it healthier this the junk at truck stops
NavigatorWife and skyviper73 Thank this. -
as my fiance just said, "oh no is right."
honestly, id have him come home. especially if hes going to burns harbor, in. it was a nightmare start to the point where they sent me home cuz they didnt train me. -
Well hopefully he will get a above average phase 1 trainer, that is when the real fun starts. Also do not let their (CRE) scare tactics about the tuition loan scare him from looking for other job opportunities after phase 1. He can negotiate whatever he can afford to payback at a later time. He is neck deep in the Mormon Mafia now!
