My advice to anyone wanting a CDL is to obtain it from a Vo-Tech. You can obtain a grant and are in no way indebted to anyone, and you will have better job choices. However, Trans Am has a somewhat better program, but they seem to be getting like CRE...I got a better attitude from a CRE recruiter than T/A and I worked for T/A. Like I said---go to a REAL SCHOOL, get trained to carry a Real CDL, and REAL Certificate. I did it, even though I could have grandfathered in, and I never once regretted it. Some companies might make you take a short training course with another Trainer, then road test you again, I am going thru 2 weeks of "retraining " iin the worst place I could with CRE, Hammond ,In, right below Chicago. Well...get to go with a trainer and run team...my,my have my plans changed. Hey to the girl looking to team, can you come get me???????

I'm going to start my orientation with CR England, May 11, 2009. Anyone have any ideas or advice. How much money I'm expenting after my training a week and if is true above what they say.

I started driving about 15 yrs ago but had to get out when a family member started having serious health issues. I came to CR England to reobtain my CDL. I started hearing the horror stories right away and wondered what I got myself into. As I went through the training I realized that the stories I heard were just that.......stories. I've never had a problem with this company. When you get into this industry you have to start somewhere. You need to gain the knowledge that only comes from experience. You need to realize this and recognize the fact that we all start on the bottom. I heard alot of complaints about England and have found them to be untrue.

I've only just started driving again so I have the disadvantage of not having any experience with other companies to compare them to. I drove for Hirschbach the first time. 15 yrs ago they were a crap company but have no idea what they are like today. Maybe I'm one of the unusual few. Right now I'm just trying to gain experience and would rather stay with one company instead of jumping around. There..... now I'm a 2 post wonder.
