I worked there for 4.5 years and trust me it was a big mistake but they are good at brainwashing you.

 

I know you only want to hear from current drivers, but I'm telling you - I've been around the block enough times to tell you to steer clear -

The good ones won't be beating down the door, and may not even have 'recruiters' - ours doesn't. They rarely even advertise.

 

i just finished phase 1 after 2 horrible instructors that were jerkoffs both had serious bipolar anger issues. i got a good one and finished phase 1 about a week ago. went to salt lake got my phase 2 upgrade and got on truck same day. the guy has only been driving a month longer than me and cant back or stay awake. I wonder who was training who. I called company to tell them guy is falling asleep behind the wheel and they did nothing about it for 3 days. They finally sent me a bus ticket from amarillo to salt lake for another evaluation and all but called me a liar about the guy falling asleep and treat me like a criminal. Oh btw there only paying me .12 a mile for phase 2 training yet another lie in a long line of lies from the sons of chester. Sooo i flew home and put in ap for SNI screw being on a greyhound for 30 hours again. Screw $250 paychecks for 7 days on the truck waiting for loads and unloads.]

I wouldnt recommend to my worst enemy to go to work for C R England the trainers are horrible the training process is worse than army basic the pay is #### they lie to you about everything. For example the CDL classroom instructor told my entire class if we didnt complete the 6 month obligation that C R England would take our CDL from us and we would still have to pay the 6k for tuition. I talked to the state of Indiana who informed me that England cannot touch my CDL. Thats just one example I can give of there lies. There were many many more.

 

The government should shut them down...

 

CRE has to many politicians in their pocket to worry about being shutdown. I remember when one of the England son's was on the board for ATA. Even that lawsuit they lost from 2001 is still in appeals because CRE is saying the interest rate is to high for what they owe lease ops they screwed over.

 

Enough said - and not an uncommon story.
