Hey, I should add that one of the reasons I did choose CRE was that the school & their Mira Loma (soon to be Colton) terminal were very close to my home (40 mins). It did make sense to be close enough to drive my own vehicle to/from school each day, and to be able to go out for lunch, as I saw fit. Guys that were bussed to Fontana didn't have that option, and had to rely on CRE transportation to get them to their hotels... I preferred my method.
Also, now when I get an L.A. run, I park my tractor in Mira Loma, and make a home visit without too much fuss. I haven't been home in two months, but I haven't requested it, and as long as the wheels are spinning, I'm making money. I don't get paid for home time... Love my wife, but after two years without a job, the time between visits seems a small price to pay to get stabilized. Other guys (military) spend far more time living away, so you won't find me complaining about that. Appreciate the fact that those guys are doing their time overseas so we can all live FREE in this country (even though, with this economy, it sorta seems like we're all slaves to the corporation or company)...

I definitely get the feeling that having the CDL, and protecting it with good driving habits, is going to guarantee I don't get that "useless & unemployed", feeling anymore...
dante23 Thanks this. -
Conway Truckload may be a good option for your location.
