Pssst, It's an option, that some companies have activated when the computer is being programed at the assembly line, My 2014 Casacada does the same thing, and i don't drive for england.

It's an ECM setting... it can be enabled or disabled at any point.
I'm somehow a bit skeptical that C.R. England ever intended for their trucks to run wide open. Don't be surprised if you find some severe limits imposed on that feature after your next A or B service.

LOL No worries. Truck computer reports if we go over 68 or over 70. I just wanted to try. But no dice... :biggrin_25512: Stuck @ 62, except down hills. Or over cliffs. :biggrin_2559:

Since we're on the topic of being governed...

Would any modern class 8 truck rolling off the line do 100 if it was not governed? Or is that only a thing of the past?

You people are silly. The governor on CRE trucks allows +5mph 30 min/24hrs for passing. This is typical. If you lease then the truck is "yours" and you can have Freightliner disable the governor - though driving fast looses fuel economy and you make less money.

O/O's know better than to drive fast.

Wasn't it a Knight driver that found out turning the key off then on would let the truck speed up before the governor was able to kick in again? Can you imagine some Joker running down the road constantly hunched over messing with the ignition.

    Now that is a secret.
