Sorry I haven't got to respond to everyone, the thread got long very quick.
But I'm reading it all and it's very helpful info. Thanks again everyone.
I've seen more homeless begging on the streets of southern CA, nice places like Temecula ..then on Cicero Ave Chicago. Amazing. What I notice about CA is that they punish success. The more you make the higher your taxes, which discourages people from wanting to be successful and creates a society of hand me this and that. I've seen it in Chicago, but it's much worse here. And then they rape people on the cost to go to collage and Americans wonder why the US is being sold out. Many foreign country's educate their citizens at almost no cost so they can compete with Americas and take over, while American citizens have to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to go to school in their own country. Something is very wrong here. Anyway, as far as CA, you pay 8.3% income tax if you make under 44K yr I think it is. Illinois is 5% for everyone. The sales tax is a little lower in CA then IL, but I would much rather have a higher sales tax and less taken from my income because at least then I have the choice of not buying something. I'm sorry, but CA is a redistribution of wealth state. If they cared so much about the wealthy getting something for nothing, why are tax free education bonds available here? And I can't even get the radio to listen to Rush L anymore. I have to pay for satellite radio out here. it's 2014, like the state of CA can't put up radio antennas on the mountains? But you can get AM when they want to feed you their propaganda. This is the home of Hollywood? Then there's the USE Tax where they hit you with the difference on sales tax if you bought a new vehicle out of state, and move into their state. It would be like buying a TV in Florida ...at say 5% sales tax, and the CA which has an 8% sales tax) would nail you with the difference on tax because the TV you brought into CA is still less then a year old. That's what they're doing to people who bring new cars into the state because of all the CA citizens who bought cars out of state in Oregon the previous years. They punish the people moving into the state because they lost money on car tax. Are people in CA totally asleep? or is just that they care more about what their stars are doing.. lol
Someone said there's money to be made here? Therese's also money to be lost, and lots of it.Last edited: May 31, 2014

That's why I moved my LLC to Texas. CA chargers $875 a year just for my S-Corp tax filing fee plus all the other crap. I still have to call this place home until I can get the Wife convinced moving to the DFW area will be a great move in the long run.
waveform Thanks this. -
My friend owns a fitness center up north and him and his wife are doing the same thing, moving it to Texas. I have 4 friends who've lived in CA, and they moved back home with the exception of two who moved to Florida and Tennessee. Isn't it funny how two of them moved to states where it's really cheap to live. They went from one extreme to the other. My guess is that they finally said, enough is enough.
CA is a very beautiful place near the cost, but it comes with a high cost I guess.Dewey120 Thanks this. -
Many, many folks have also called CRE....what they've called them can not be posted here.

Back when I applied with CRE they called me the next morning and wanted to know when I could show up to orientation. Must be why that after the first day of orientation at least 50% of the "new hires" are gone.
Wickedfire77 and waveform Thank this. -
Well, another thing that was kind of strange was. When I was talking to the recruiter on the phone, he would say something and then there were long periods where he wouldn't say anything. So I kept asking him, "is there anything you wanted to ask me?" And then he would say, "no sir that's it, all you have to do is show up".
I don't know. He came off as a very nice guy, but usually recruiters are more aggressive and want specifics. I kind of left like he was either very new to the job or he didn't want to say too much and scare me off. It was all too easy. Anyway, I have a few more (direct and specific) questions to ask the recruiter. I might let him know up front that I will not lease a truck. Then we'll see if he still wants to hire me. -
And sure as was said earlier, the starting class will be 100 people . By day 2. Half will be gone. Then more will be plucked out. You will end up with about 30 completing. And this happens every week , in four locations in the USA .
