If you're talkin' 'bout the C.R. England in gold-leaf script, --- I agree.
Back in the day, it was C.R. England & Sons, and that gold script logo sure looked sharp. But now it's the Sons-0-Chester runnin' the show, --- along with some cousins. It's been a family affair since Maude Knight married ol' Chester England.
I can't think of a cooler logo out thar in the Big truck truckin' industry.
Although, ------
I recall a Big truck truckin' company with yellow Big trucks pullin' refer trailers loaded with produce, --- a lotta bananas I heard, ergo the yellow color. But what I remember most was the company name, ---
S E X.
YuP!
Acronym for South Eastern Express, ----
Which never made sense to me.
From what I see, it should have been S E E.
But which name ya reckon folks would remember not to forget the easiest?
Yeah, ........ that's what I was thinkin' too.
Are there CR England success stories?

Evidence
or
Imagination?
And where did you find them?
The " satisfied" and/or " successful" people consider it a waste of their time to write about their satisfaction here at TTR?
What do you attribute that to?
Actually, in fact, ..... what you've presented as "fact", is, in fact, Not a fact at all.
It's another opinion, --- based on what though? :smt102
We're talkin' 'bout Big truck truck drivers, --- right? :smt108
HaiL!
Even typical truckers boast upon their own success and satisfaction, .... sometimes even when and if they ain't.
Know the difference betwixt a fairy tale and a trucker tale? :smt112
The fairy tale starts out, Once Upon A Time, -----
A trucker tale starts out, Y'all Ain't Gonna Believe This Sheep-Dip, ....................

Joe, I saw a CRE success story and the guy was running dedicated for them out of Walmart on the East Coast driving a Blue Cascadia. I think the guy was from Virginia. That's the only CRE success story I've seen.

What is the dollar value of your time spent to create responses and interaction on this TTR website?
Successful people value their time and give themselves a certain rate per hour as to how they will use their time.
Because successful people value their time, they don't waste their time, due to the FACT that they have already determined a time value to their time involvement.
TTR is free. TTR provides the possibility for many to express their own opinions, based upon their own time.
Each and EVERY individual has and is given an exact 24 hours per day.
You in particular have been a member of this TTR website since 2007 and have posted an almost 7000 posts to this website. I can only ask if you've been successful at all of your posts on this TTR website?
With your particular and almost 7000 posts to this TTR website..... what makes you desirous to continue? What is success?? -
Primarily for the entertainment.
One is only as successful
as one can afford to be or
imagine/determine their time
is worth, .... to them?
Any consideration as to what other people would be willin' to pay for said time?
I'm thankful and grateful that there are those who make all this at TTR possible.
I appreciate each and every one who contributes to the forums. But I gotta admit,
I've never given a thought to what they've determined to be their "time value".
Maybe you should run that question by them.
Should be interesting.
Although I might be addicted.
My "success" depends not on whether I consider it to be so, but rather should be determined by what value those who read what I write place upon my efforts.
But, you already knew that.
(See first sentence/question) -
Same here.
You write and think well.
You state yourself as "Wannabe Truck Driver" though I am fairly certain that you're desirous of other capacities.
Salute, to you my friend. May you always think and write well!! -
ThanX.
Complements are a taste that my eyes an' ears appreciate.
I don't recall statin' that I'm a wannaBe. Once upon a time I was though.
Just twixt you an' me, ...... for me, ...... once a wannaBe, --- always a wannaBe. Never didn't wannaBe a wannaBe Then, ---- I wannaBe a rookie, then I wannaBe a well seasoned Big truck truck driver with more'n a million mile-markers in my back pocket and a 2-way view of 48 states, goin' in an' comin' out.
But until you brought it up just now, I don't think I realized that to this day, and probably for the rest of however many days I'm available for a dispatch, I'll still remain a wannaBe.
HaiL!.
Even while I was what I wannaBe, I was still a wannaBe at the same time, --- unlike some wannaBes who become don'twannaBes, I never didn't wannaBe a wannaBe.
I think I'm inspired to write a success story.
Who knows? I might even read that writin'. :smt047
Jusqu' a ce que nous nous reunissons á nouveau. -
There are plenty of success stories out of CRE. I suppose that I for one am one. I started with CRE in 2007 and to this day I am still there. Although I have to admit that I am leaving in about 2 weeks.
I trained at CRE, leased my first truck there. After a year I had a family issue that required me to quit (with proper notice). A year later I returned to CRE and leased and have since bought my truck through their lease purchase program. And I am not the only person I know that has done well at CRE. The reason you don't see or hear much about us is simple. Why would any of us want to hang out at a place full of new drivers that do nothing but talk negative about everything. We would much rather seek out those like ourselves that instead of whining and crying all day about how Joe Wannabe was too lazy to put in a little time and effort to learn the system, how they expected everything to just be handed to then. We went out and took it.
Now I know someone here is going to say "if CRE is so great then why are you leaving?" I never said CRE was great. And i must admit that it has gone a bit south since the kids took over. I stated that there are plenty of success stories. In my time with CRE, the only negative settlement that I have ever had is when my truck broke down and was in the shop for a month. And even that wasn't bad, a week later I had positive cash flow again. I take two vacations a year. 2 weeks for July 4th and 2 weeks for x-mas. I have done this every year except my first year with CRE. I also take a full week off (6-7 nights at home) once every 3-4 weeks.
So why am I leaving? Well like I said, it's not a "great" place. But it is a place that one can succeed at. Trinidad (RIP) went from being a company driver to having a fleet of like 12 trucks via CRE. I would call that a success story too. CRE base pay stinks. But the fuel discounts make it impossible to lose money with the FSC. With up to a .85¢ a gal discount off cash price is better then any company that I have looked at. Landstars discount seems a joke and CRE beats Mercer discounts by .20-.30¢ but CRE does not give 100% of FSC. But to better answer the question. I am leaving because it is beyond time to take the next step in my trucking carrier.
IMO the #1 reason people fail at CRE is lack of a real work ethic. Some might call that, just being lazy.Rick Brown Thanks this. -
Puppage Thanks this.
