Sunny I'm still here!

Hello everyone. and thanks for writing shaw transport! He is doing really great. he is on his 13th day of phase 2. he has learned alot and can't wait to get out on his own. He has had NO problems with England and it seems the ones he has seen who have had problems are raising hell with their DM's so hmmm. If you raised hell with me as much as some of these folks do i would give you bad loads too. some people just like to complain. We are in our early 30's and we have both had to work really hard for just a little bit of money and to be able to drive and sit on your butt and make hat kind of money seem slike a good job to us. OH.. and we don't have to leave each other during the day or ever. we can spend every day together with our doggie. so I am getting things ready around here to go with him. next week i put my 2 week notice in at work and then i will hopefully be abl eot go to salt lake city with him to get his truck we have family there to stay with so he won't have to stay on site at the school and wait we can stay with his aunt. His trainer last time was so great. he took really good care of him. paid for all of his expenses and was a good driver and a a good teacher. the one he has for this 30days can't back up his truck and seems uncomfortable driving so i guess everythign happens for a reason this guy is making him feel confident in what he is doing. ha. He is doing really good and has learned quickly. He already had his license so he isn't real green. but not much expereince. we miss each ohter terribly and i think if we had to do another 30 days neither of us would be able to do it. Hope we have good expereinces with all this but looks really good so far! can't wait to get out there for real. I will go to training this year maybe june or so and then i can drive too. England really seems to have many benefits and progrmas to help the drivers that some others don't. Did you know England owned CRST? Enlgand is the better option from everything i have been hearing. OH>> electronic logs for all the drivers this year too. how great will that be. he may get them possibly when he gets his truck since he will be new and i would think they would install it on the trucks they already have first. so will see. will be great if he gets it. thanks for writing. send us some good energy! It is day by day journey. kinda scarey but not as scarey as the first week when he left.

OH if you ever get to amarillo, TX you must go to the big texan steakhouse. you won't believe it!

Don't quit your job until he has had his own truck for a couple of weeks. With freight the way it is, many companies are promising solo, and forcing drivers to team.

Be safe and don't take a chance on what they say, wait and see what they do instead.

Thanks!!!!!! I was leaning towards England, not really wanting to though. I'm thinking with the economy like it is, go with whom you assume to have the money. Right???? Appreciate your post.

this is good to know cause im heading to 'CRE' 3/2/2009 start date. after reading all the negitive hits about CRE' i was really scared. one thing i have learned about CRE on this site is; DO NOT TAKE A LEASE FROM CRE; no matter what they say. im from NYC. you cant just say or try to sell me anything my head doesnt screw off..if so then i can sell them a bridge located in brookyn for a cheap price.lol, lol

Don't do it!!

I too am from NYC and went to Dallas for England's training. I had my CDL and just wanted a job because once you get your CDL (got mine three months ago) it does not mean you'll be able to get a job. Most good companies want you to have at least a year under your belt. My experience with CRE was mixed. They promise you the world and lie through their teeth. I quit after phase I. Now I hear that phase ii is 60 days now!!
