If you raised hell with me as much as some of these folks do i would give you bad loads too. some people just like to complain. We are in our early 30's and we have both had to work really hard for just a little bit of money and to be able to drive and sit on your butt and make hat kind of money seem slike a good job to us. OH.. and we don't have to leave each other during the day or ever. we can spend every day together with our doggie. so I am getting things ready around here to go with him. next week i put my 2 week notice in at work and then i will hopefully be abl eot go to salt lake city with him to get his truck we have family there to stay with so he won't have to stay on site at the school and wait we can stay with his aunt. His trainer last time was so great. he took really good care of him. paid for all of his expenses and was a good driver and a a good teacher. the one he has for this 30days can't back up his truck and seems uncomfortable driving so i guess everythign happens for a reason this guy is making him feel confident in what he is doing. ha. He is doing really good and has learned quickly. He already had his license so he isn't real green. but not much expereince. we miss each ohter terribly and i think if we had to do another 30 days neither of us would be able to do it. Hope we have good expereinces with all this but looks really good so far! can't wait to get out there for real. I will go to training this year maybe june or so and then i can drive too. England really seems to have many benefits and progrmas to help the drivers that some others don't. Did you know England owned CRST? Enlgand is the better option from everything i have been hearing. OH>> electronic logs for all the drivers this year too. how great will that be. he may get them possibly when he gets his truck since he will be new and i would think they would install it on the trucks they already have first. so will see. will be great if he gets it. thanks for writing. send us some good energy! It is day by day journey. kinda scarey but not as scarey as the first week when he left.

OH if you ever get to amarillo, TX you must go to the big tex steakhouse. you won't believe it!

Thank you. Finally a voice of reason, compared to the normal complaining truck driver, who thinks he's worth more than he is, you post's are refreshing. There is no perfect job nor company that is willing to pay top wages/bennies for entry level positions. JLS1024 stay positive young lady, work hard and when the work is no longer equal to the reward, pack up and offer your services and positive outlook to another company. Option 2 is to be miserable and complain about the hand that feeds you and then try and poison everyone you come in contact with to feel and act the way you do.

Thanks for you kind words. This website is filled with negativity so much so that i don't spend much time here but your message inspired me to write another update.

Things aren't so good today as was mentioned training is now 60 days for phase II. So he finished his phase II as of last week. so he thought! since the beginning he has been told. 30 days phase I and 35 days phase II. So he contacts his manager and lets them know his 35 days are up and they inform him. OH.. BY THE WAY.. you have an another 25 days left for phase II before you can get your tuck and be on your own. they changed the rule jan 1st! sorry we can't grandfather you in you just have to do it. We were so excited to be able to see each other again and to think about another 25 days with out each other. he has basically been gone already since nov 17! During training he was only making 200-330 a week. he was with a guy who thought it was part of his training to learn how to sit in truck stops! come on now!! if you are going to be away from your family you would think people would want to work. well not this guy. so he knew no matter what he had to get off his truck. now he is in salt lake city waiting for another driver to pick him up and so he can complete antoher 25 days. If his truck is ready he will be able to get out of it. but that will be another 3-4 weeks they said. who is to say they aren't going to say oh.. by the way. it is 90 days now. I was so excited to go on the road with him but he said he just can't do it anymore. I m not sure i can either to tell you the truth. i'm tired of crying hysterically becasue i miss him so much. He did a great job with his training and really has enjoyed what he is doing and if we could somehow do it together that would be ok. I don't have my lic yet but would like to if we could do it together.. so i dont know. he wants to come home and then who knows what. i'm sure he could find a job though. He is a hard worker. I dont know. it is awful disappointing. but you know what at least we can say we tried! And who knows because of this we have both learned some things. professionally and personnally. i will never regret trying something. I would have only regreted being too afraid to try something. so i don't know. I keep saying i don t know. haha. Ill keep you posted. all this just doesn't seem right though.

Hate to burst your bubble, but get used to it. The majority on here are not just folks who decided to go after England. They have been or know friends and loved ones that have HOSED by this rotten, filthy company. I hope it works out for you and your hubby, but don't count on it. I would delay all put absolute necessity purchases and tell him it is divorce court if he even mentions leasing a truck from these maggots. You like hundreds of others who come here have been warned. If you come back in 3, 6 ,9 months in bankruptcy court and living in the car, don't expect a lot of sympathy. Hard? Hell yes. But as long as CRE can keep luring the finest siding salespeople in the nation to recruit for them, they will have a steady supply of slave labor.

When one paticular thread has a lot of negative comments compared to others, there is usually a reason for that. Read and believe, or read and ignore, it's up to you.

Things will work out for a few people, but not for most at these bottom feeder companies. That's just the way things are, and the people who are doing ok will blame all the bad comments on the person who post them. Some people do bring on their own problems. I see this every day, but everyone can not be wrong.

It appears the bloom is coming off the CR rose. I hate to hear that, but am not suprised. It is easy to see stars in the first few weeks, but then the lies start. The company rules change hourly these days, as they will do whatever they can to save a nickle at anyone's expense but theirs.

Don't be suprised to hear quite a few more lies before your husband either quits, is fired, or manages to make it and learns to live with CR.

Good luck, you'll need it.

Hey, bro

How was the schooling with CR? CR was my second choice, RoadMasters was first when I was planning to get involved in this business but apparently, I ended up with Swift. How much is the total coast for tuition with them?

Vale

Forbidden Exclamation hmmm

Why is that so many are eager to bash companies and give NO advice where one could go that WOULD be a good company. No we do not have one years experience. Please help if you can.. where should a person go who wants to drive? Please understand I am not saying that you are wrong, your comments are just not helpful or productive. I would like to see how many on here can come up with ideas for new truckers and a company where they can go to get experience so they can work for a GREAT company. Please help.

Right now the job market doesn't look very promising for truck drivers in general. I tried to get back into driving back in Nov 2008, and ended up sitting at home come Christmas without a truck and without any money. Some ppl make it, and some ppl don't. It can be a very frustrating industry and it amazes me how some ppl are getting 3000+ miles, while others are losing their homes. I hated it when the truck wasn't moving, because I loved to drive. You always read complaints in here that the ppl who don't make it are the ones who sit in the truckstops or just plain don't want to drive. That isn't always true. I didn't refuse any loads either, went into NY too. I guess it is just the luck of the draw. I know ppl have to start somewhere. Right now there are very few places to start with. Good luck jls....I hope it goes better for you than it did for me.
