| I'm starting to think the companies have invaded these forums and have office personnel signed up to spew propaganda in an effort to keep recruiting up, and make people think these lease deals are still a good idea. Because there's a guy in the Anderson threads I'm suspicious about, let me tell ya. |

| LOL check that again. Truck companys wont lease/purchase. Its just lease. Come end of term, you will have completed a lease. Purchase is a different matter. The purchase if I remember correctly is the company will sell you the truck for a premium, leaving you with the undying question of "What was I paying that money for then?".

| You were paying the money because lease payments are 100% deductible for the entire duration of the lease, whereas in a purchase, you have a limited time to write off depreciation. Talking with my accountant, he'd mentioned that there are lots of guys with trucks that went fuel went nuts, they realized it was better to lease than buy. |

As to the write off, you can write off business purchases for up to 7 years. With 100% of cost. As well as tires, maintenance and so on. The difference with Purchase and the lease, the lease at the end of 3 years you will have bought that truck, but you will turn it in for a new one with new headaches. The purchase, you will have known at the end of that 3 years are as to wether a new truck is worth the headaches of going to new, or you can trade it in for upto 50 grand towards your next truck. Or even better keep up with the repairs and maintenance and drive that truck for 5 million miles. Grin by then you can have a lovely lawn ornament. LOL
