I started training in February 2007 with my CDL Class A with HazMat, I remain up to date with all that goes on, and I'll continue in the same 2006 Freightliner until March 2010. C.R. England is #1 in the Country in so far as the climate control freight industry is concerned. The Administration and Drivers are the reason.

Is that a fact?? #1 in the industry? I wouldve thought prime wouldve been as far as being a major carrier. Either way its scary

Glad englands workin out for ya though

I'm starting to think the companies have invaded these forums and have office personnel signed up to spew propaganda in an effort to keep recruiting up, and make people think these lease deals are still a good idea.

Because there's a guy in the Anderson threads I'm suspicious about, let me tell ya.

Many of the companies do indeed have someone reading the posts.

LOL check that again. Truck companys wont lease/purchase. Its just lease. Come end of term, you will have completed a lease. Purchase is a different matter. The purchase if I remember correctly is the company will sell you the truck for a premium, leaving you with the undying question of "What was I paying that money for then?".

You were paying the money because lease payments are 100% deductible for the entire duration of the lease, whereas in a purchase, you have a limited time to write off depreciation.

Talking with my accountant, he'd mentioned that there are lots of guys with trucks that went fuel went nuts, they realized it was better to lease than buy.

Ahh, but your claiming to work for CR England (of which this thread goes to) whom claims to offer you a discount on fuel. So your point is moot.

As to the write off, you can write off business purchases for up to 7 years. With 100% of cost. As well as tires, maintenance and so on.

The difference with Purchase and the lease, the lease at the end of 3 years you will have bought that truck, but you will turn it in for a new one with new headaches. The purchase, you will have known at the end of that 3 years are as to wether a new truck is worth the headaches of going to new, or you can trade it in for upto 50 grand towards your next truck. Or even better keep up with the repairs and maintenance and drive that truck for 5 million miles. Grin by then you can have a lovely lawn ornament. LOL
