I can say that I am truly looking forward to the whole experience. I just re-read my last post and it actually sounded a lot worse than what I meant for it to, the thing that I am seeing the most around here is that this truly is a life style, and for a lot of people to change their life is hard if not impossible so I wanted to give a perceptive of yes it is possible and yes you can have a great time with CR England but it is also a new beginning its like learning how to crawl all over again and then walking and soon you are running. Yeah friends and family from the previous life is left behind, though so if someone is too attached then they shouldn't be doing this job and thats not just my opinion but the instructors here have all said basically the same thing. As far as pay well the numbers look good but are they reality? honestly I am not sure I have seen and heard a lot of negative, but I've seen some of the positive as well. I am setting my expectations at only enough for food and basic necessities if I make more then thats good if I can only make that though then I will be happy. As far as what I plan to run well as I mentioned in the last post I have no place really to call home so I just want to go. I don't care if its across the street or across the country and thats the way i will look at it. For me turning down loads or spending my time in a truck stop just seems like the dumbest thing in the world to do I just don't see a point. provided I have the DOT hours and there is a load for me I want it. I haven't really set any long term or short term goals for myself at this point to be honest only because I am not completely sure of everything. I believe though in researching before I do anything and I want to provide the best information and give my honest opinion to anyone else that may want to do the same.
Lets see, this guy is either behind the wheel 24/7 and can't stop to post or he quit and hasn't got the guts to come back and say so.

actually behind the wheel 24/7 would be the best answer...and now for my final post on this thread as I am now on my way out the door with england. With nothing to lose right now I am $1200 in the hole, have not been home in 6 months and have had so many horror stories I don't even want to get into them all but they include things like being thrown from the top bunk while my trainer was driving, and other things like ending up in the ER. I am far from a recruter, and no I wasn't fired or let go from this POS company I am walking away, and yes I think everyone here can see the excitement I had starting out with this place. Honestly it just makes me sad to think about and I hate more than anything having no choice left but to walk away. Even that I am sure will be a up hill battle. I know I said before that if you have no life at all you might have a chance, I was proven wrong. From the school to where I am today I am honestly concidering taking this truck and driving it though the compound at salt lake maybe a truck in their lobby will get someone's attention hell I got nothing to lose I think I might do just that, if you hear about me on the news now you know why

sounds like you gave it your best. you did last longer then most. you can have a chance at another company. take it easy and think about things before doing anything that you will regret later.

could it be that some people have no other choise? sounds like he knew what he was getting into and knew there was no money and would not get home. just wanted his cdl and a year behind the wheel. some times you gotta do what you gotta do.

and...well....there you go ! There is no stopping them. For years we have been reading the stories of eager hard working newbies get started in their exciting adventure. Only to have those dreams squashed like a bug. We've seen the old guys warn them. We've seen the observant warn them but yet they still flock to that place like it's a mecca that will end all their problems.

They do have other choices. CR ENGLAND does not have a secret niche market of people to recruit. Theres nothing special about them. Werner, Swift etc they piss people off but they don't ruin them via a lease scam. Besides that, who the hell stays out for six months against their will, if in fact the OP wasn't bending the facts a little ?

true and it is the worst company but he made 6 months and is walking away with his cdl. they cant take that from him. i know, i know, DAC can be a problem. but not all companys use dac and dac will soon be a thing of the past when the csv 2010 gets rolling.

Hopefully his DAC doesn't say "parked truck in dispatch office" well hopefully for him ! I think many people would like to see that.
