I think that this person already has their mind made-up to go with CR England. They are perhaps wanting a positive remark so they can justify their decision. At the school I'm attending "NDT", there are two companies that have recruiting posters on the wall, CR England and Swift.

Most of the ones that come on here asking for positive feed back already have their minds made up. Same with this one. If you already have the bus ticket to go it is a little late to be worrying about what you are getting into...

Advise is what we ask for when we already know the answer, but wish we didn't.

I am a grad of CRE East Chicago IN school, and to this day I wish I knew about the forums. The only thing good I can say was my Trainer Kevin, he was a great guy and I learned a-lot from him and wish I was still in contact with him. I ended up leasing a truck, ran my normal loads never late but at the end of the week I would still owe them money. Mind you I took my 100.00 a week draw but if you do the math, I would ow them on the average of 50.00, SOOOOOO My paycheck at the end would have been only about 50 bucks and thats without going home. As for my DAC they never dinged it, I did right by my DM and told him I was getting off the truck and where do you want me to leave it, I left it in the E Chicago yard but was then charged a transport fee to get it back to Salt Lake.

Long story short DO NOT LEASE, for an average week you need 1500 miles just to pay for the truck and considering right now drivers are averaging 1500 to 2000 miles a week with a big company, on top of that the way the economy is, you just won't make any money. In a good economy and CRE's lease program the only way to make any money is if you team the truck or become a trainer. I hope this was usefull and I wish you the best of luck, from what I can see, 9 times out of 10 you will hear bad about CRE, there is a reason for it, we have been there and done it!

You've already made your choice...

Prime (despite the negative comments you read here) is a great company to drive for. Prime trains new drivers, has one of the best apprenticeship programs, and their training pay beats just about everybody. We have a very good safety rating - and you are not forced to drive in unsafe conditions, or illegally. NO... I am not a recruiter - company driver.
