| You're funnier than Leno and Letterman combined!!! Quote:
When you get tired of driving, you have a job waiting as either... 1- a politician. 2- a Washington Senator 3- a college prof who hasn't updated his lecture for 40 years 4- a parent 5- a stand up comedian 6-Chris Rock's comedy writer 7- a sherrif, 8- don't forget, at least, a bartender!!! Some of the jobs for lying with a straight face, others for your fantastic sense of humour - no less for cheering up the guy before he faces the gallows. Thanks from the rest of us guy. |

| The Starter of this thread is right here. I am not with England anymore. If you read back I wrote what I thought of them after my interaction with them was over and I was not going back. I am now with CRST out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I now have my CDL which they paid for and Ive got my team member already. It is a guy I went to school with. I am in my 3rd out of 4 days of orientation with CRST and liking it so far. Just looking forward to finally hitting the pavement. |

| CRST vs other companies I am talking to CRST right now. I was trying to choose between them and CRE, I am leaning towards CRST. I will have to go to Cedar Rapids for a refresher course and then Oklahoma for orientation. Can you tell me anything about their training in Cedar Rapids? Do they put you in a hotel? How are the instructors? Anything you can tell me much appreciated. ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) The top 5 - as in the top 5 worst companies to work for include CRST. Maybe you can find the thread on here with many first person stories. For me, I left over pay, each check would be minus some amount, took weeks to even up, then the game started over again.Missing a few hundred dollars hurts. The training was good, I had a CDL already but they put me in their training anyway. If they have stopped their money games, it's just like any other start=up job. You get the worst. |

| CRST Van Expedited VS CR ENGLAND Quote:
I personally went to C.R. England and they are a joke of a company to get started in the trucking industry. I got on a grey hound at 11 PM and rode for 17 hours from Springfield, MO to Hammond, IN was taken to a rat hole hotel and found I wasnt staying there, Even though I was relieve to not be staying there, I was frusterated from being on the bus with no sleep or food and the run around that I had to look forward to. CRE had me at their mercy. I got into Hammond at 10 AM and got to CRE terminal at 2 PM and didnt get out of there until 10 PM, got to the hotel with food by 11:20 PM or so, ate and went to bed by midnight. I hadnt had sleep for 25 Hours or Food for 29 Hours. Long Story Short. I got sick cause I got poisoned or something and they sent me home. I WILL NOT GO BACK! BE AWARE OF THE LEASE PROGRAM... THEY PUSH THIS HARD ON YOU. CRST Van Expedited I personally think that CRST Van Expedited is actually a pretty good company. So far I have had little to no problems with them. The only small problem I have had is communication. But that goes along with any big company. They treat you 50 X's better than C.R. England would ever even think to treat their drivers. CRST is much more accomodating. I am still with CRST. I had a Lead Driver after the first day of hire. He is an owner op and turned down a load to Brunswick, NJ because it didnt pay well enough. So as of right now we are waiting on a load. But other than that everything has been good. They paid for my CDL and everything so its cool. |

| CRE Veterans? Are there any? Just a quick thought. Are there any CRE veterans of more than 5 years out there? Is that all just BS too? Just wondering.

| There are. I ran into them when I was driving for CRE, and my old trainer should be pushing 5 years now himself. Though, as it has been said before in this forum somewhere, CRE is only good if you end up on a dedicated fleet and a dedicated run with guaranteed miles. That's where you'll find the veterans at CRE, that's they only way they keep them happy enough to stay. |

Can you elaborate? Really; what I want to know in why is your username CRE?
