Well, this probably dont matter now as you posted your question some moons ago. I drive otr for ccc out of Aburndale,FL. I do just fine with them, take home 850+/wk after taxes, insurance, 401k, Ive drove for others, all Ive ever done is otr, I stay out month or more at a time, been out two months this time. Theres good companys abd bad ones, ccc is one of the better ones, you gotta get out there and husle to make money, its always been that way with trks, there is alot of drivers who have been with ccc for 15+ years, whats that tell you? As for me...am happy, I make good money, am free to choose my routes, choose the fuel stops, can refuse a
, equpiments ok, sure there macks, and slow (62mph), I do a reset every wk and still take home 850+/wk. Bottom line, ccc has alot to offer, its up to you to make it work, you can be an adult, get out there, husle and make that money, or can be a snot nose whinner that thinks just show up turn a key, no pre trip, drive few hrs be home every night and get payed big bucks, nothing works that way. So,I know this about ccc, do your job, be an adult, you will make money and they will take care of you. Best luck on your search.

Any idea what the pay is for local and intra state drivers in FL?
I am currently working for heartland and swapping divisions to a dedicated fleet running around the SE region. But keeping my options open while I wait and see how this is going to go. I see CCC with allot of adds, but seems they are mostly looking for entry level drivers. Would love to find something local or home every weekend without a big pay cut.

Dont confuse ccc (commercial carrier corp) with ccc (crete carrier corp). I drive for commercial or com car as we call it. As for crete...can not say. As for com car...they treat me more than fair. They do have bulk carriers. Like fly ash. Cement. Sulfur. Those guys are home every night. Make around 450 - 550/wk. Com car is comprised of five companies (ccc; ct; ctl; mct; wse) each one does something special. Once hired on you can transfer between companies and retain all you medical insurance. 401k. Etc....all the trks are colored thexsame. Just the letters on side change is all. Call Sherry Howard at Aburndale FL terminal (800 647 9064) tell her where you live and what your after. She will not lie to you!
