Not Crete!

Can someone move this thread to a new heading "HUNT"?

Hunt Transportation is owned by Acklie.

Crete Carrier Corporation is also owned by Acklie.

In spite of misleading information posted on various web sites, Hunt Transportation is not owned by Crete, Crete is a "sister" company.

Don't believe me? Don't take my word for it, check the DOT numbers. The feds say they are different companies!!!

first while i was there the miles was really horrible, about 1800-2000 miles a week.then they would have me sit over the weekend.they do not seem to be concern about drivers families. After my wife was rushed to the emergency room requiring surgery,it only took the a week and half to get me home. Then was told i could only take 3 days off to be with her.I spoke to another driver whose brother passed away and they wouldn't get him home for the funeral, according to hunt he wasn't immediate family.then they want the logs done in a certain way,at which i did it the way they wanted and utah Dot had a problem so they (utah Dot) wrote a violation and instead of standing behind me for doing what they asked they (hunt safety) wrote me up too. Then while in Georgia they sent me to a medical clinic to have my blood sugar checked.per Ann in safety being a diabetic i am supposed to have my blood sugar checked every six months.well they didn't say anything then took money out of my check and didn't say anything until i came home 3 weeks later and found it on my pay stub.also they put it under as a fine.do you want more or is that enough.

Ok, first... you won't have a problem running 2800 miles a week at Hunt. If this driver wasn't getting at least 2800 miles, it could be due to the general slowdown that is affecting all truck drivers. However, they take great glee in leaving you stranded over the weekends. In some cases, they will dispatch you on a short haul from home to leave you stranded on the weekend hundreds of miles from home. In other words, you didn't earn much, and now you aren't earning anything, and you don't have time with your family, either. (it would have been better to be home)

I can confirm that Hunt will deliberately try to prevent you from getting home when you have a true family emergency AND that they won't give you more than four days maximum when you are home, even for a family emergency. So that much is absolutely true.

Working as a truck driver, you won't spend much time at home. But Hunt seems to deliberately limit your home time, much more than necessary. And this seems to be especially true if you have a really GOOD reason for being home. In other words, if you just want to go home for no special reason, it will be easier (ironically) to get routed home.
