Yesterday wasn't much to write about. Just typical paperwork and videos. Today we were actually done early, but the office people were running behind. A new class started today and there are still office people out, so they are have been short staffed all week.

I finally got my truck a little before 1600. Went out to get it to bring to the shop to check it out to me and there was a windshield guy filling a chip. He did a good job. Even knowing where it was, I cannot find it now. Asked my asset manager if she wanted to dispatch me tonight or in the morning. She asked if I would mind to do it in the morning. I was glad about that. I drove my car here with all my stuff in it. I wanted to get it all loaded in my truck, get it put away, get a shower, and get laundry done. So this worked out great.

So now I am an official Crete driver. We shall see what tomorrow may hold.

LC is a nice terminal to go to at night when every one goes home... go there in the day you have to stop at a stop sign in the middle of the fuel island and a guy comes out to "inspect" you tractor and trailer kinda annoying some time. another thing to watch out for is dont make the right turn out side of the gate... i know it says for all Crete driver's to make a left only but ####... the Loves is just down the road under the over pass so dumb not to go right... but ultimately they will find out that you made a right turn...

One thing I do but don't like is their orientation. They just kind of go over stuff and throw you out there. I guess it is how I would rather it be done anyway, but I am use to my last company where you are given specific instruction on EVERYTHING...practically even how to breathe lol. If you have not been specifically trained and signed off on by the trainer, you cannot do it. Even sliding tandems. But it nice to not be treated like a baby all the time. So much less stressful.

I do know that I have called up Lincoln and asked some pretty dumb questions but been treated very professional.

yeah, well I came from school to crete so i had to go threw orientation twice once before training and after completing it for some reason as far as i know it was just the same stuff i heard when i first started just little less paper work...
only thing now is avoiding the drive cams in out trucks my first truck didnt have one thankfully but i did get a older one and still on paper logs... tried asking my trainer about this and no one seems to really know much about them just said out of 6 of his students only one got a truck with a camera in it and there was no real reason why...
