Fire at Crete lot damages 9 semis

LINCOLN, Neb. — A fire at a Lincoln trucking company destroyed four semis and damaged five others on Saturday.

The fire at Crete Carriers was reported about 12:30 p.m.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue battalion chief Pat Borer says the blaze started in a truck parked on the company's lot and spread to others nearby. It was likely sparked by an electrical problem.

No injuries were reported.

Damage to the trucks is estimated at $700,000.
