CRST is going to be one of the companys that are going to get totally screwed when CSA2010 comes out.
Perhaps, but if most of your newhire drivers have no points, infractions and such, it may lower CRST CSA scores.

First of all, CRST's SafeStat scores aren't that high, even when compared to companies like Con-Way Freight, or YRC. And CRST has only had 4 fatality crashes in the last 36 months. ALL of those were drivers and not 4 wheelers as some would have you believe...
I can't believe how some of you guys who have little or no experience period, but that what you have is with CRST (meaning you have nothing to compare CRST to), talk about how CRST is "getting worse as a company." How would you know?
I've been on with CRST for 12 years, and I can tell you it ain't changing all that much. Changes in regulations requires that the company change along with it, or die, otherwise.
To say that CSA2010 is somehow going to be some great killer of CRST means that you lack a fundamental understanding of what the program is. If anything, CRST will flourish even more than it already is; precisely because the company has so many new or newer drivers! But that's the point of CSA2010 from the perspective of the bigger companies, anyway! That's why all of them are in support of the program! It's going to benefit them!
It's the smaller companies, which tend to hire more experienced drivers that are gonna have the problems. The companies that have trucks that'll run 80 or better, and are doing things the same outlaw ways they've always done them, are going to suffer. Funny thing of it is, those companies like that, don't have any poorer safety histories (right now) than CRST, or Werner, or whoever does. They have drivers who get more tickets, and have trucks that tend to worse on inspections, though.
I suggest you get a bit more experience in the industry, generally, before you start making pronouncements about how this or that is gonna affect CRST or any other company. -

i make more in 2.5 mnths with other company than crst in 8mnths. But stick to it for 8mnths, and dont give them crap r they will put it in your dac and may effect your fulture job.. 8mnths will go by quick. On trainer part, stand your ground if you r in your right. You can take control of how you do thing also not just your trainer.

I was at crst way back in 1992 or there abouts , but this sounds like my tainer fronm first post, a black guy ,a road train member with saftey pacthes up all down his arms, i think he did alot of butt kissing ,cause he sure didnt earn them as i know now, but on my way too ca , he be in back shooting up, and if not shooting up ,eating rolaids like candy , screaming ,cussing , and everything he threw at me, but being new too truck , i just took in stride and just smirk at him, cause i knew from reading and the way he was doing logs , the coops ,was gonna have a feild day with him, , but never happen as i was doing all the driving and my logs his way, i told him , your log is yours , mine is mine,

Sorry to hear about ur bad experience man, like with any training company it all depends on luck. My CRST trainer is way better than my Werner trainer was.
He follows company policies and laws, always tells me if I feel like I need to stop for ANY reason then shut it down, no questions asked! -
I am thinking about joining CRST if any of there drivers are out there can you give me any advice or thoughts

So which is it are the trainners good bad or is it just luck of the draw with getting someone who cares about doing things the right way, I start training the 27th and would rather not end up with with somebody unsafe, unclean, or unitellegent

If you google the FMSCA website,click on company saftey records >company snapshot> search by name, then click on sms results, CRST has a 91.3 ratings for unsafe driving, of course 100 being the worst.
