you will be staying in the travelodge at exit 62 off I85. If you have no experience, they will teach you enough to get your CDL. Many students take repeat visits to DMV to test. The school is ok. the practice field is a gravel field. The equipment is shoddy, but should still enable you to do maneuvers to get them down. There are three trucks running max for about twenty people or so. When you aren't in a truck practicing, you will be watching a pre-trip video or practicing pre-trips.

I went there for a refresher course. keep your nose clean. Don't let some of the petty rules deter you from why you are there. They will try their best to help you get your CDL.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for....

The hotel is adequate=nothing fancy. You may be asked to swap rooms if roommate leaves. micro / small fridge. can make waffles in morning in lodge. waffle house next door. western sizzlin, Cat. D's close enough to walk. subway, popeyes, MCd's across bridge. I ate chef boyardee and cost me $20 for two weeks. lol

The school in Opelika is just to get your CDL. It was m-f. After that, orientation in OKC or CR, then out with trainer for 28 days. CRST is teams. Alot to learn and know.
Alot will depend on what kind of trainer you get- I have heard good and bad stories. Not sure about the 20/10...that may depend on whether other drivers in area want to do that too. Any starter company is going to require you to pay your dues. Do evrything to keep your nose clean. Temptinfates
