Unless your co-pilot bails enroute.

If you're an owner operator, they'll run you solo...but they'll press the "you should be a trainer!" issue on you until you're tired of it. If you tell them no, might as well say goodbye to your bread and butter...

You only get .20cpm on solo, and that is sually because your co-driver quit, waiting on co-driver..etc
Check out the Malone side-the flats may have solos. but after a bit of experience you can get a few solo runs. Owner ops and lease ops have more pull on solo's, On dedicated accts me thinks and its better cpm...but 99 out of a 100 runs are team.Last edited: May 22, 2011

Yes, the flats have solos - I'm one of them. CRST Malone doesn't have a company side, though - the closest you can come to being a company driver for Malone is to do like I did, and get hired on with a fleet owner who leases onto them. You'll almost certainly be required to have experience before any of them will hire you.

They actually do hire solo drivers but the .20 per mile figure depends on your experience...
