i didn't say it wasn't a standard lease.. but there isn't anything in there that says anything about the "walk-away" part of their claim.

oh, and the URL? it's my website.. it's about the ######## of the world (content pending), not p0rn, or a spam site.. it is exactly what it is

I know this is a bit old but do you still have a copy of the contract? And how is it going with them? I'm pretty much decided on going there unless landair calls and has a killer deal (theyre close to me). Actually kindof excited about the thought (i know i know.. lp and all. not exactly a newb to trucking or running a business though so hopefully i have some luck)

You did call and try though, right? If its written, than it stands to reason they will agree with it but, sometimes you can get in with less than what is posted. Call, if you haven't thus far..

Sheepdog yes i sent an email and got a response yesterday. Got 2 calls this morning and im heading out for orientation monday. I'm massively excited. Ya i know the dangers etc but heck man.. i'm excited.

Honestly at this particular point my focus is on makign sure i get a Good truck and hopefully a decent trailer. I keep reading up on their guys who are ACTUALLY WORKING FOR THEM and most of them seem to love the company. That's pretty #### rare. Any tips on getting the a decent truck instead of a randomly assigned one?

Dont sign the contract till you get a truck your happy with.... That being said, simply because your doing the lease purchase, it may take a while to get the truck you want, if ever. Educate yourself on things to look for, that can give you a sign of what the truck has to offer. I am still researching this as well but, until you sign that contract, you can still walk away and I am pretty sure you can walk away after. What I am saying is; once you sign the contract, your pretty much stuck with the truck you have. So, don't sign until your satisfied, as much as you can be anyway.
