Okay...is the $2.00 per loaded mile average BS or not? plus other ????

Haha..I out of Federal way Wa....A company here offered $2.46 a mile to run into Canada BC to AB ,flatbed This Month..Mountain Winter Driving...plus permits....round trip.........

 

My wife and I have been O/OP's with CRST for a few months now. I drive and she does the paperwork. We run mostly the mid-west. We do have some 100-200 mile dead head at times, but we just checked and we average $1.87 on all miles. That includes our deadhead. They do make it very clear (at least to us and at the monthly contractor meetings) that Texas, Florida, East Coast,( the south in general during the winter) and out west are hard areas to find good out-going loads. The inbound to those are good. Just not much coming out of those areas. We also have a pretty good fuel discount. It varies, but if you watch the weekly price sheet you can usually save $0.75 to $1.00 per gallon on fuel. We have a dispatcher that has no trucks of her own and have never yet had to take a load from the load board. She always keeps us busy. We average about $3,000 a wk give or take after they take expenses out.Keep in mind we usually only work 8 - 10 hrs per day so there is potential to make more. We have to pay our truck insurance and truck payment out of that, but otherwise we are happy and they have been great to deal and work with.
