Why is it that the CRST Malone trucks i see on the road most have no headache racks but are pulling flatbeds. I would assume the trailers aren't pre loaded and tarped and it's all drop and hook. so that only leads me to think they're so cheap and the driver's have to sleep with securement gear? If any one knows please respond, i am just curious.... Thanks

You are actually legal in a lot of states with no header rack or a headboard on the trailer. We are in the process of going to racks and all the headboards have been removed from our trailers. Some customers won't load without one or the other, so it can be a pain. Legal or not, it's not the most comfortable feeling knowing nothing is there.

Most loads need the same securement as when it's not against the headboard, so tie-down for myself is the same.

The trailer is assigned and they keep the securement on the trailer. The tarps go in the box or tied onto the catwalk.

Ok i guess malone is just that cheap then. I mean come on if your going to be a flatbed company shouldn't you provide the proper equipment. I am sure the O/O leased to the company have headache racks. I just saw two gold trucks today and neither one had a Rack on it.
