In school in Iowa. Should be done with training by end of February-ish. Looking for someone around Pahrump to team with.
I am older female, smoker, easy going who would like to do the 20/10 or about six weeks out six days in. Like I said, easy going.
Just let me know.
Thanks!
Team driver Nevada

get through your training first, then worry about a co. for every new driver hired, two wont make it past their 240 hours of otr training. good luck

For the record I made it through training and survived a whole week with a co-driver who couldn't handle the allure of, "I SHOULD be making more money!" With all of his non-experience. I wish him well and hope he finds whatever he is looking for in life, employment-wise.
Out of our class of 20, there are only 4 of us left. They have all separated with the company for one reason or another. Two of the guys are co-drivers and I may team up with the other one. We'll have to wait and see if he ever gets done with training...LOL
At the moment I am running solo and have not been home since I left for Waterloo on January 5th. It's tough, but nothing less than I expected from the get-go. My ex-husband used to drive OTR and he had trouble getting home-time even back then. I suspect it has a lot to do with the high turnover rate and inability to keep good drivers for any company. At least I didn't believe the sunshine and rainbows my recruiter was trying to blow... -
I can't help you with the co-driver... Out of curiosity, though, how many miles are you getting? Any long periods of sitting?
-
Running solo right now and getting about 2000 miles a week. Also getting a 34+ every week. Frustrating not being able to run more, but I don't have to split the miles with anyone and am only getting docked to $0.21 per mile by running solo. It could be worse...
For the record, they finally got me home last week for a few days, so I'm happy now...LOL -
Just a quick update to the info about me:
I am over 30 (old enough to know better, but still too young to care!), easy going, want to run the doors off this '13 FL Cascadia, but can't do it by myself. The truck only has 49K on it. I already have TV with digital antenna, Blu-ray player, computer, GPS (not the trucker's version, but can't afford that one right now), stove-to-go, skillet (it's tiny, but just big enough to heat up a can of ravioli or cook an egg), microwave (don't have an inverter strong enough for it yet, though), and hot water pot (for boiling water for instant coffee or cup-o-noodles, etc.). I don't mind driving at night, but need to be on some kind of schedule with someone who can stick with it and sleep while I drive. I have had a class B CDL since 1999 with nothing on my DAC but a level 1 inspection in a school bus, which I passed. I smoke like a chimney on a cold winter night, but keep the windows cracked. I try to be respectful of others at all times. Have a great dispatcher who was running us like the wind when I had a co-driver. I have platinum status at Love's, so all we have to do is find a Love's and we can take a shower every day, two or three times a day if you want. Personally, I try not to go more than 2 days without one.
I live in Pahrump, Nevada but can take home-time almost anywhere in the country.
Enough about me, how about you? Are you ready to roll?
