You got fired for not being able to back upon on a road test they made you take 5 months into your employment. I worked there 2 years and never heard of something like this and even if you "failed" a road test they always gave you a 2nd chance. Usually you only took another road test once employed if you had an incident and had to do a safety class.
There has to be more to this story.
And yes you are responsible for the money -

They don't really need any reason to terminate your employment, at any time, and they don't prorate so you will owe the full amount on the contract if you didn't put the full time in.
That might help explain this a little.
I have known or known of several who left CRST on their own, one just recent, but he has a whole bunch of kids he is paying support on. I know of one who did pay them years ago who still drives for someone else
If you can get another job with a smaller company, try to do that, but being from Florida will cut your options. Some big companies won't touch you because of court action and legal barriers to hiring you away from CRST, i.e. the courts have barred them from hiring you.
I'd ask the company for an explanation and another chance, you already have this much time with them, see what they tell you. -
25(2)+2 Thanks this.

If you got fired more than likely you deserved it especially at CRST its very hard to get fired from an OTR company
