But you nevr explained why you were road testing 5 months into your employment. Contract students road test at orientation and again after there 28 days. After that there are no other road tests except if you are brought In for a safety class due to an incident or ticket. I once watched a student take 45 minutes to back into the hole on his test and he passed. So something just isn't ringing true about being fired for not backing even lllthough you put it in the hole and never hit anything

Sounded to me like he was told to G.O.A.L. and he refused.

Arnold hires out of FL they are a regional carrier. FFE hires out of FL as well. There are other companies too some such as Prime won't take you since you got terminated, but there are plenty of options. I would get back in a truck as quickly as possible if that is something you plan to do for the foreseeable future the longer you wait looking for something local the more you run the risk of putting yourself into refresher course territory.

I would also go to hireright.com and request a copy of your DAC report to see if they put anything on there and to dispute it if it is inaccurate.

The bad news is: You might have to put in time with the bottom rung of the bottom feeders to build up experience. The good news is: You were already at CRST so there isn't much further down to go.

Wait so you have to sign an 8 month contract to work for CRST?!?!? Are you serious? Are contracts the norm? My old company out of school didn't have one. Is this a lease only company?

The 8-month contract is for your training costs. Drive for the company for 8 months and fulfill the contract and you don't pay anything back for the schooling, which is in the neighborhood of $4K otherwise. If you don't like that option, get your CDL elsewhere and go in as a non-contract student. No contract, nothing holding you there if you don't like it...but then your options are wide open, too, if you already have your CDL.

People get the contract deal all ferklempt and it's really nothing more than a school loan. Drive for 8 months, loan forgiven. Leave before the 8 months, pay for the schooling costs. No different than a college loan, beyond the fact that if you drive for those 8 months, the loan is forgiven. For a lot of people, it's a great option. For others, not so great. Depends on your financial situation.

Well it's some what like a school loan if you don't pay it back they will put negative stuff on your DAC and no other company will hire you to drive with les than 6 month expirence
